Panama offers trade pact with UK. Panama begins to wonder if Japan is spurning its offer of a trade pact.
U.S.D; not wishing to risk its welfare, orders recall of all Eridium related products in the U.S.D. Eridith producton halted. All but a few ounces of Eridium samples are incenerated and plans to colonize mars are canceled due to its abundance of Eridium. Remaining Eridium is stored away.
Japan assures the U.S.D. that colonization is still possible- japan will attempt to develop a way to reduce the effected and halt it's progress. Japan sends new engines to panama and U.S.D.
U.S.D is grateful for the engines and begins integrating them into their rockets. Comforted by Japans assurances of mars being safe U.S.D re-launches its colonization program. U.S.D awaits Japan's safe Eridium eagerly.
I must have missed it. Panama ships 20000 barrels of "Coconut Oil" to corrupt Assiagorp citizens who then place it in old USSR nuclear missile silos.
U.S.D notices Panama's love of "Coconut Oil" and begins research on long range weapons systems with the help of Engines sent by Japan. U.S.D Claims this is merely for protection in the event of a future threat.
Japan finds that when put together with bug spray, Eridium is rendered neutralized. Rockets fly over mars dropping bug spray, neutralizing all radioactivity there. A message is sent to the U.S.D. saying it should be safe, but use extreme caution.
Panama sends a missive to USD for their eyes only, "It was really low-grade stuff. We keep all the good Coconut Oil for ourselves. Of course, as a favored trade nation, you would have first dibs on any exports of the high-quality stuff."

UK accepts. UK begins to research and make Eridium bombs. It is expected to be 3x, possibly 5x more powerful than a nuclear bomb. Once researched the UK will send out samples of it to countries, so they can make their own bombs.
The UK finishes the testing ground and carries out its first Eridium bomb test. The bomb's blast range is much more than expected and it is only 10% complete. It vaporizes every living thing in its vicinity and covers 18 miles in length and height. The weird thing about it is that it only vaporized the reptiles, amphibians and mammals, and not trees. The UK decides that the bomb is too dangerous and drops the several that had been developed into the ocean, where they detonate and do no harm.
Italia has opened more restruants and villas for more tourism. We have also opened places in City States to the public viewing Renaissance artwork and Roman Architecture. We now look towards a common goal of fighting the flu. A vaccine is in the works.
