On the literal level I don't see how mute could really prevent you from learning / accepting Christ. I included the above quote of mine, specifically the "being capable of understanding" part for non-literal interpretation.
By technical definition, "empty" means "a void containing nothing, with an absence of atoms. So, technically, emptiness does exist.
Alright, anyone up for a new debate? Seeing how we've been on religion for the past 10 pages or so, how about a change of pace? .............Just tried to come up with something not religious for like two minutes...got nothing. Anyone have a suggestion for a new debate?
IOS vs. Android! Lets start now! I pick IOS, due to the openness, sleek design, and customizability. Not to mention Siri
Pretty much all I have to say about that EDIT: Wow, that turned out looking so much more epic than I could have hoped for
How we can get our existence from nothing, using my friend called math :3 0 (nothing) x i (i = infinity ... (infinity amount of vast nothing)) = point a (the starting zone) i = m x r + t (mass of the initial area, times the rate of the growth, plus the time it takes to get that growth equal the infinite mass of 'nothing') ((mr + t) x 0) = 1 (the point a) (since it's valued at something) divide 0 from both sides... you get: (mr + t) = 1/0 (undefined - that's all it is ... undefined ... doesn't mean it can't exist, just means it is really hard to understand ... so initially ... i'll continue my point :3 (mr + t) = 1/0 ... just divide both sides by 1 then you will get: (mr + t)/1 = 1/0 x 1/0 since division of 1 makes the left value the same - i will remove the division (mr + t) = (1 - 1)/(0-0) using cross multiplication the 1/0 x 1/0 cancels leaving no number making it void ... since the value of void is nothing, it goes back to void - since it is neither nothing, or a number - it is undefined mr + t = void mr + t - t = void - t since t is undefined it is both infinitely many and zero ... meaning if nothing happened in the time frame, it is also instantaneous because no other instances occurred ... mr = void - t mr is zero then 1 (multiple value) = and void is 0 and needs to become 1 and t is also 1+ ... this means, the void of the universe's time went instantaneously reverse to give the mass of the universe a value of one or higher ... not creating the big bang theory ... but thus creating the none - to - all, beginning theory for the existence of the big bang theory... At least, this is how I imagined it - and to me it seems relative to what i know - hope someone else see's the same mindset like I did - Caléb
Alright....totally comprehended all of that Seems complicated, and like there were several multiplications and divisions of zero, definitely outside my realm of math knowledge. Seems legit though.
You keep mentioning customizability (which isn't even a word) when regarding apple products.. regardless of the fact that they support the least user-customization of any platform for anything.
Assuming they exist, let's say you go to heaven. Let's also assume that some of your best friends and family don't believe in god, commit tons of egregious sins, and don't repent or ask Jesus for forgiveness, or whatever you think it takes to end up in hell. Now, with this in mind, how could you be truly happy in heaven, knowing that some of your best friends and family are in a place of eternal pain and suffering? Does god wipe your mind before you enter or something? If so, are you still really you, when you're just a blank slate worshiping god forever? Or do you remember and know they are in hell, you're just made not to care? I don't understand how any of this is congruent with having no pain, suffering or sorrow.
For places nobody supposedly can know much about, you sure seem to know a lot about it... Well, you've bet on a specific religion, one among hundreds, even thousands. What if you're wrong? What if, for instance, the Muslims are right? I doubt Allah and Muhammad would send you to heaven.
I don't think it's in there, but if you can get a hold of your friend and have him tell you where it is, I'd be very interested. Even if they live a life of debauchery and grievous sin? As though people lacking sight or hearing (or speech) are somehow unable to be bad people? So what you're saying is, by spreading Christianity, missionaries are making people's lives harder? Since if these people hadn't ever learned of it, they'd be automatically saved... missionaries are such jerks, man.
What Crazy1080 said, I'll just add: Openness? Android is open source; anyone can make their own version of Android. In fact, my phone runs a community created Android version. iOS, on the other hand, is on total lock-down, and you have to break a bunch of Apple's rules and agreements before your phone can be called anything reminiscent of "open." It's not called "jailbreaking" for no reason.
...that's an interesting way to twist words around. Though, it does seem you're dead set on religious people always being miserable, so I don't think I can explain anything in a way to make you understand what I'm trying to say, heh.
You would have never been told that torturing kittens was wrong.. and you probably don't know you're torturing them in the first place.
This is an excellent observation. The fact is that the only people in heaven are those who wish to be there. As a result, Heaven is like a permanent state of commitment of the free will of the individual during our life and at the hour of our death. As a result of this "cementing" of the free will in heaven, there is no longer the desire to do anything to hurt one's self or offend one's God. This is one of the true beauties of heaven. Nobody gets dragged off to heaven. Everyone is there, because they really want to be there.
