OMG, that is epic. Mind *officially* Blown. I just had to send this to my friend, who is really interested in cellular automata.
A tiger has striped skin, not just fur. We're posh that way. A cockroach can live up to nine days without its head, before dying. Of starvation. A piece of paper folded in half 50 times will have a thickness roughly 3/4 of the distance between the earth and the sun. It takes a photon about 200,000 years to reach the sun's surface. It only takes an additional 8 minutes from there to reach the earth's. Galaxies accelerating away from our solar system fade red as the difference nears lightspeed - upon reaching it, they appear to freeze and slowly vanish, as their distant light can no longer travel faster than they move away and thus does not reach us. Tests for cesium-137 and strontium-90 are reliable ways to detect forgeries of classical artwork - these elements did not exist in nature before nuclear testing.
I'mma say mine was based on construction paper, since I went randomly browsing and found that one. Also, spiders man. Fluffin' spiders...
I did the math. If you fold it 50 times, it would be as thick as (1.125899907 times 10 to the 15th power) sheets. That's roughly a quadrillion sheets. The average distance from the sun to the earth is about 150 million km, and the distance from the earth to the moon is 384,000 km. The thickness of a 20lb sheet of paper is roughly 0.1 mm (according to Wikipedia). So, the thickness of the folded sheet would be about 113 million kilometers - almost exactly three quarters of the distance from the earth to the sun. In order for it to only reach 3/4 of the way to the moon, the paper would have to be only 0.34 micrometers thick.
When you say your going to flesh out an idea, you are saying you are going to work on it. When you say your going to flush out an idea, you are saying you are going to drive the idea out of it's shelter, probably with gunfire and explosives. Lots of explosives.
Well, scientists say that the dark matter in space continues to keep on creating more and more space, so yes
