Writing "facepalm" or uploading a meme every time someone that's a little bit younger than you posts something about becoming a mod, doesn't make you clever, nor witty, and if I was the player that you're talking to, I would find it quite rude and mean. If it's not nice, don't post it. I suggest that you all just un-watch the thread - most posts here should just be questions and answers anyway.
I love this statement. People should only say what they would to people in real life. And treat people who are obviously younger with more respect.
Pab10s it's not my fault everyone on Smp7 is lookin to get money and I saw this and I just sold MYCEL to him and its not my fault that he has like 0r left its his fault for letting people sell MYCEL to him for 10r when I was buying it for 3r not my FAULT.
We really shouldn't be talking about this here. I wondered why you were buying so much of it, even after I let you know multiple times that you only really needed one block. I was trying to be nice to you, and you repayed that by taking advantage of another player. I don't like it and you're not likely to be very popular with those on the server who know what you did. If you have anything more to say about it, pm me or better yet, you should make nicey nice with you know who.

Well said Alex. +1 The way to judge a person's character is to see how they treat someone who can do nothing for them. I often see the spin off of this quote in reference to a date: "a guy who is nice to you but not the waiter is not a nice person". So yes, there are many people who don't read and end up asking about the status of their application, but just as important is the old members response to the new player. I'd honestly have less of a problem with a person becoming a mod that asked about their mod app (I only see this text box right now, and I don't ever remember the name of the player who asked on the this page) than I would with a member that has been here forever who was rude to a new player about posting it.
Same. And it's not only on the forums. On the servers I see quite a lot of "Oldies" lashing out at brand new players, fresh out of the tutorial. It's a shame, really. I usually try to give them a push in the right direction, by reminding them of The Guide, some rules and some general pointers. It is so much better to play in a friendly atmosphere. When a new player leaves forever, I'm not always surprised.
Wow, with all of the knowledgeable posts and great advice, I believe that a lot of the people posting here have great character towards becoming a mod
Old being after September 8th? They might've been deleted if they've already been seen by ICC, but I'm not sure how the system works
You would know, if you paid any attention to the application, if you did take it, this has ruined your chance greatly.
