  3. The EMC Investigator has been launched!


    I took some of the Live Map player data that I've been collecting and designed a website that allows you to perform searches over it. It currently contains data from Oct 1 through Oct 12. I will be importing the rest later on. I also want to make it so that the website automatically downloads new data and archives it. Right now, I have to manually import the data.

  11. I agree the UI can get some rather easy to do improvements. I might be able to help with he web-ui too.
    First thing I guess would be form validation on the user side. Like some decent default entries for the form and maybe some javascript to validate the form input before sending it to the server (and give meaningful errors to the user). This will also help keep the load on the database low in case this will get popular :)

  13. You can use as much disk space as you want. However, they only give your database 10MB of memory to work with (I am storing all of the JSON files in a MySQL database...they will be supporting MongoDB soon which is nice!). Also, you get 1GB of free bandwidth per month.

    Oh that's really cool. I wonder if you'd see similar movement patterns among Minecraft players. :)

    Yes that's a good idea. Right now, all input validation is done server-side. I also want to add calendar controls to the start and end time fields to make them easier to input.
