I remember Inuyasha! That was like my favorite anime when I was a kid, I only like it because stuff transforms and its just plain awesome with his giant blade
Some of my favorites: Elfen Lied Full Metal Alchemist Battle Angel Desert Punk Ranma 1/2 Tenchi Muyo (I've only seen Tenchi Universe, still gotta find and watch the oav) Neon Genesis Evangelion (I managed to get an awesome deal on the platinum edition box set) Project A-ko I could probably go on. There is a website too that has a huge collection of anime that you can watch online.

Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan is also great because it has funny mature humor into it It's also very gory but it's more sane than other anime's I've seen
