'E'? What rating scheme is that from? It's not the US's or the UK's main one, at least. In the Netherlands, I am guessing it will be 9 (meaning potentially harmful for children under 9), which both Sonic the Hedgehog films also got. The Super Mario Bros. Movie got 6. apparently I play too many videogames it's the "for Everyone" ESRB rating for videogames, that I stupidly assumed was the same for movies
No doubt in my mind the Motion Picture Association (MPA) will give it a PG rating. The film seems very crafted for that PG rating. That rating system is only applicable in the United States though. Whatever the equivalent of PG is in other countries, I'd expect.
That's G (General) in the USA, and U (Universal) in the UK, I believe. But I agree with Daybreaker, I think it will get a PG rating in the USA (and the UK).
I would ask why PG rather than G, but I see the Super Mario movie got the same ratings while getting a "no younger than 6" in Germany and no age restriction in Italy, so probably that skews my perception.
Movies basically never get a G rating. It's an incredibly challenging rating to get. The same way you see way more R ratings than NC-17 ones
I guess this is off-topic, but I find it interesting and I do not expect the discussion to continue long enough to require moving it to another thread. How about romcoms or dramas? Those usually get 'AL' in the Netherlands. ... Huh. I just looked up Pride & Prejudice (2005), and that actually did get PG.
