All my gaming life I used quake pro, but after I got prescription glasses last year, im around the 100s since for some reason any more gives me headaches.
I actually currently use an FOV of just over 180. sometimes it will drop down to 135 for a bit, but only if I wink. Of course this would be permanently 135 if I ever lose an eye. 😀
Huh, that's interesting. Our FOV is greater than Quake Pro?! That's pretty cool. Of course a large part of it is peripheral vision, though.
I always use and have always used the normal default FOV. Anything else looks really weird and off to me. It genuinely surprises me that so many of you are using are using something else than the default.
Also this Quake was new to me, had to go search it up. I was relocating in 1996, so it was unknown to me. I had played wolfenstein and doom prior, probably would have played this if I stayed put
I think it took some getting used to for me as well. So did playing with greater than 2 chunks render distance. But both changes were worth it.
