The Federation sends a communique to the SEU saying we will keep one island and give the rest back final offer
SEU proceeds to blow up the Federation Battleship, because most of that steel is effectively useless low-quality steel and is useless anyway to the SEU, who has perfectly high-quality steel to work with. In addition, the design was flawed because SEU deliberately introduced flaws into it. It says all the Federation needs to know. GET OUT OF OUR TURF.
SEU really really wants the Federation to get out of the Pacific, since it's SEU's turf. Meanwhile, the refits are going well at equipping their ships with advanced gunnery systems. The Land Forces are due to recieve a new rifle, things are going great for Iosif Stalin.
The USA is now angry with SEU as they fought over a island that USA had peacefully given over also the Federation Goverment will vote to see if war will be declared on SEU also The Federation has starting upgrading their steel plants to create stronger better battleship like steel
The Caliphate has developed the MB-2 Stywart, this time with needed upgrades. This time the tank is much wider to cope with the rough terrain and fitted with Vertical Volute Spring Suspension, making for a smooth ride, easy to repair and quite maneuverable. The MB-2 is 33,500 lbs, 9.5 to 63.5 mm of armour, a 37 mm G6 Arabian Gun, 300 hp engine, 36 mph on the road. Overall it's much better than the MB-1, although the gun doesn't improve much, speed, maneuverability armour and size does. It's a light tank at best, it's a perfect infantry tank and perfect for maneuvering the desert sands, something which every Caliphate vehicle excels at. It will be finished in 20 posts. Designs for a medium tank is underway, and thus the MBT-2 Medium (not MB-2) has been tested. It features a tall hexagonal body and a sloped front end. It weighs 41,000 lbs, features 7-51 mm armour, a 37 mm G3 Arabian Gun, VVSS suspension, and 26 mph of speed. It is a medium tank based on parts of the MB-1 Light, it has an innovative slope, virtually creating another inch of defence. It's quite comfortable due to its larger hull, and due to its VVSS suspension and widened body it presents much more reliability in rough terrain. Overall for its time, it's reliable, compact, efficient, durable and an excellent tank. The only problem is its fuel tank which is more prone to igniting. It will be finished in 20 posts. A new tank is on the horizon, a medium tank perhaps, it will directly challenge the cramped and unreliable T-34. Both the T-34 and the planned MBT-4 Medium (Sherman basically) are fit with mediocre armour, guns and defense, but mediocre enough to get the job done. Sure, the T-34 is no doubt cheaper and will be more than likely produced on a much larger scale, but virtually both tanks are at the same level with some aspects being better than others, such as Caliphate tanks being much more reliable and as easy to repair.
The Caliphate warns the Federation that they are standing bravely against a massive world power. The Caliphate most likely won't help the Federation, the Caliphate only wants food and resources from The Federation... And to complete the Umayyad Caliphate... *twitch* the Iberian Peninsula...
OOC: The T-34 is unreliable not a good tank at all, but easy to produce and repair, and survivable as crap.
I know, they only won the war because you could keep pumping one after the next, it didn't matter if 20 T-34's died to 1 tiger, you just produce 20 more until that Tiger dies. Overall german tanks were much better than all of the allies tanks, but in cases of them breaking down they were very costly and hard to repair. T-34 isn't a horrible tank persay, if it was more reliable it would be much better. T-34 purists need to stop tho lol.
SEU proceeds to calm them down by saying "dude, we can just give you the aid you wanted. Military alliance; deal?" USA, being desperate and also ridden with internal problems due to Socialist Revolutionaries that have taken over the Government (SEU is funding them after India went home to deal with their own problems), agrees. SEU is getting the hang of this whole "take over a government" thing.
Formal name of the SEU (Socialist Eurasian Union is simplified) Socialist Sino-Soviet-Korean-Australian Union of Peoples and Nations Yes, they are weird; they are patently wacky.
Task Force 1, consisting of 3 Java-Class Battleships and 2 Beijing-Class Fleet Carriers as well as a tanker and supply ship, moves to Jarvis Island Naval Base (SEU property) to refuel and stand by. They are clearly preparing for Naval Attack from the enemy by the looks of it.
The Caliphate's goal in achieving dominance in Canada is simple. Use the tactics of foxes and weasels. Slip into the trade realm, make them feel as if their progress is worthwhile and establish a friendship. Society next, install an Islamic haven and create a Pro-Caliphate movement, then get into the government, run in Caliphate friendly MP's who will push their agenda and ideologies in Parliament and eventually develop a strong federal party. Next, weasel in a puppet PM, especially one that doesn't look like one. The Caliphate cannot afford to invade Canada because: Geography plays a big deal, the Caliphate is on an entirely different continent, in an entirely different climate. The Sunayyad Caliphate does have rocky mountains and vast open plains, they do have forests and alpines, and snow (yes, you're weird Iran). What they don't have are massive boreal forests, muddy and roaring rivers surrounded in steep and wet mountains, unpredictable and very cold climates and damp regions. Invasion is different than control. Any strong army can conquer Ottawa and control the metropolitan area of Canada easily, but that means nearly 95% of the country still untouched and possibly ready to fight. The number of rural communities in the vast landmass of Canada is hard to control. Canada is culturally different, the major religion is definitely not Islam, and the northerners won't react kindly to an invading force from the Middle East who wants to imply 1 religion with an entirely different mindset than their own. MENA was easy to annex, sure, there are many different cultures and ethnic groups, but virtually there's a connection, and the fact that 90% of MENA is basically Muslim helps ALOT. Too much money and logistics suck. Again, the Caliphate has their own problems, they cannot afford to spend all of their time and effort in some cold snowy forested land across the ocean and near people who don't like them, and in the time of war, it's easy to disconnect Canada from the Caliphate if Canada was a colony. That's basically why the Caliphate prefers to have all colonies and landmasses touching.
SEU is currently in a weird Superposition with Indonesia. SEU refuses to acknowledge Indonesia as legitimate, but Indonesia is in all aspects an independent country. In addition, they have formed their own Socialist Coalition, the "Islamic Socialist Coalition" with Indonesia and Malaysia in the Socialist Coalition, but the Coalition is only 2 nations and is not recognized by any of the other Socialists, who view them as merely a rebellious faction of the original Soviet Socialists. At the very least, these two recognize each other's legitimacy. SEU is equipping Zheng Hes and Mings with the MARK II 406mm gun at a healthy 50 calibers. This powerful gun is a deviation from the SEU formula, increasing the broadsides of both ships significantly, respectively from 8.5 tons to 11 tons and 3.6 tons to 8.6 tons (TWIN TWIN BRIDGE TRIPLE), using the Mark 2 Superheavy Shells. SEU considers the Ming addition a significant upgrade thanks to having a heavier broadside with capability to fight other Capital ships, with equal fire distribution capacity. However, this slows down the ships by 2 knots. To compensate, SEU will modernize the boilers and reconstruct the ships, when they are stationed at their home ports, which will increase the speed by 1 knot. 6 months each, 2 years all. These shells allow for an unprecedented range and power, rivalling even some Caliphate ships for their weight and having armor penetration slightly behind the Caliphate 18-inch shells. SEU is manufacturing an Ultraheavy (SEU is coming up with increasingly weird names for their shells) 18-inch shell, with a total weight of 1.8 tons. This is pushing SEU's constraints for their guns, but it'll be safe. This ups the broadsides again, from 13.5 tons to 16.2 tons and 18 tons to 21.6 tons AP. SEU is really trying to get their gun-to-gun game up, because what good's excellent targeting without good shells? SEU is supplying these Ultraheavy shells for their in-field ships first and foremost, because SEU will need a decisive advantage for their ships in what is likely coming.
SEU has armed their Island Bases with a variety of Shore Defense Guns, including dual-purpose Destroyer Armament/AA Guns 127mm (5-inch Caliber), Heavy Cruiser Armament 205mm (8-inch Caliber), and Battleship Armament 280mm (11-inch Caliber) (Wake Atoll, Midway Atoll, and Jarvis Island only), as well as building an Airfield and garrisoning them heavily. These defense will be able to fend off any attack.
The Caliphate vocally supports the Islamic Socialist Coalition. Musawaism is a very similar form of Socialism, except it takes a lot more religious influences. Musawaism is spread into Indonesia and Malaysia
The Federatio simply gives up at this point and retreats but they insist that this will not hapen again so they are starting research on a new tank and a new bomber craft They are also putting massive resources into uprading the guns on their ships to make them more survivable and allow them to do more damage
x4 Oil and Petroleum exports to The Federation, and also since the Caliphate has good ties with Canada which was apart of the CAF who owned Cuba, Cuba is in a mesh of Independent/Not Independent status. The Caliph can pull a few strings and allow The Federation to basically take over Cuba and rule them, as well as Haiti. Federation citizens will also have a much easier time with travelling through the Iberian Peninsula, and any Federation citizens in the area keep their culture, religion and their land. The Caliphate also suggests that they would improve trade relations and possibly assist The Federation in military training and protection.
