This will work very well against a war-weary India. Not so against SEU. In fact, it'll probably piss them off even more. SEU is a hardened people; they think of the Caliphate as a much larger and cleverer Japanese Empire, and they've fought those guys twice, and will win twice. Those are the natural benefits of rising up against your enemies. SEU hates the Fascists as well, but they're trying to decide which they hate more, the Caliphate or the Fascists.
SEU intercepts the SNE fleet and tells them to GET OUT OF OUR LAND. SEU is extracting Iron and Aluminum from those lands, they're SEU's primary supplier of Copper... dear god. SEU promptly forms a Naval Blockade around the Australian Island.
Pakistan is geared and ready for a war with India, the Caliphate has not spoken of such ideas, but if the time were right and the SEU would agree, the Caliphate wouldn't mind warring with India
SEU proceeds to interfere with the negotiations by telling their old buddy USA that anything a nation they've agreed to attack can do, their buddy can do way better. SEU will simply give the USA aid, in exchange for a permanent Military Alliance.
Hardening millions of men defending a state for non-religious reasons or without the benefit of "after-life" ambitions is a challenge, especially when most people defending a secular state for a secular reason would rather live than die. The only way to change this is by forcing it, like killing your own men if they retreat or surrender/promising to kill anyone's family if they surrender. It could work, but it would only lead to many problems and probably lead to a fall of your empire with that fact that you kill your own men and treat them like mere pawns.
They think of these wars as a sort of Crusade against Evil. They've had 2 Crusades, both of which were quite successful. SEU's people have suffered under the Japanese's heel and fought against them twice, once for revenge and once to defend themselves. They are naturually hardened, SEU hasn't had to do anything. They will never suffer under anyone, ever again. Also, they're a reason Karl Marx is so venerated. There's a Goddamn cult of Personality around the man.
See but USA can hardly feed it's own 48 states much less hawaii and alaska so they give UFOS the islands in exchange for a peace treaty 10 billion dollars and 30 million tons of food each year for 2 years
SEU offers something even better: Special Discounts on Ukrainian Food, forever. Ukraine has the best soils in the World, and SEU is manipulating it to their advantage. In addition, SEU will send extensive and comprehensive aid. USA's agreed to attack the Federation in the event of war, so...
SEU convinces the US that giving up its last Pacific Island base is a very bad idea, and stops the trade by way of Military Force. Federation Vessels cannot enter the Hawaiian Island Chain, thanks to USN and SEUN interference. Any vessel that tries to take the Islands is effortlessly sunk. SEU has a permanent Alliance with the US, and SEU is coming to the aid of its buddy.
The Caliphate is making its mark in Canada, building dozens of Mosques and setting dozens more of Muslim companies, all tributing to the Caliphate, racking in huge resources for the Caliphate and a vast influence in Canada.
SEU is improving the T-34 design. Its Gearbox has been redone, and the cheapness has been greatly improved with an Hexagonal Turret. It is already extremely survivable with sloped armor and high-quality steel, and SEU wlill back that up with ease of maintenance and Repair (the T-34 is nortoriously unreliable, but easy to repair).
SEU promptly proceeds to begin scrapping the 2/3 complete unknown Battleship, all but confirming that the Battleship was supposed to be Federation Property. In any case, it's now SEU property and SEU has effectively seized it. This is a pretty clear message: give up the Hawaiian Islands, and SEU will give you your Battleship.
I guess since you made the T-34 on the date when it was literally just first put on paper I guess an M4 variant needs to come out soon then... Or atleast the M3 Stuart
The SNE withdraws their ships in order to keep peace with the SEU.. OOC: I think the map should be posted at least once every 2 pages. An idea, never know what is available or not
There is also a map on the first post on the first page. I gave this map to warlord, he never updated it yet: https://i.imgur.com/XNrJcPC.png
It is incorrect. Soviet is a Russian Word. SEU's faction is the USSR, and India's faction is the Union of Asian Socialists.
I recall a post saying "Now there's two USSR's??" Anyway, I don't really want to change it, just use the map because it's more important to know that you're invading a country that is independent than focusing on a minor spelling error. I'll fix it once major map changes and annexation arrive
Professor (?) Warlord's lecture on Battleships and Guns: There are many different kinds of Gun Layouts on Battleships; among the most popular are 2 forward, 1 aft 3-gun turrets, 2 forward, 2 aft 2-gun turrets, 1 forward, 1 aft 4-gun turrets. So what are the advantages and disadvantages of each? Well, the 2-gun turret is definitively the most reliable, fast-shooting, and best overall performance. Only 1 nation favors this kind of turret, the SNE thanks to their long Naval heritage with dual turrets. This performance comes at the cost of size though, and many nations favor the next type of turret. The famous 3-gun turret, a classy 1930s look as a perfect compromise between the 4-gun and 2-gun turrets. SEU favors this because they've only ever built this kind of turret due to cost problems, and they kind of need their Battleships to be reasonably cheap. The Caliphate favors this design because their designer is an ardent follower of the SEU school of big-gun thought and technically a dual citizen, and the sole Battleship not designed by this guy was a SNE citizen and used dual turrets. The UBR favors this design because all their Battleship designs are SEU clones. The Federation favors this design because they have no idea what they're doing. The 4-gun turret is used by the SEU for their commerce Battleship. They likely used this design because they though it would be enough for commerce raiding, but the armor penetration is simply not enough. SEU might develop a new type of gun because the 11-inch guns are proving problematic at armor penetration and SEU needs a fast Battleship.
SEU's extremely problematic, older 16-inch gun design has been scrapped. Fixing their problems cost weight and money and has constantly hemorraged funds, and at this point SEU will just save more by starting from scratch. The design goals are as follows: viability for 2 and 3-gun turrets. Fast Muzzle Velocity. Fast loading times. LIGHT (makes it unsafe, but it'll be no more unsafe than the unreliable, unsafe, and problematic old 16-inch guns).
