So thx to sydney324 I now want a alt and I don't want to pay for the game When I make a account do I need to pay for the game to be able to use the alt Or is it that simple as making a new account and signing in on the launcher?
i'm pretty sure to make an account you have to pay for it the download itself is free but the account is not
An alt is basically another copy of the game. So by getting an alt you are purchasing another copy of Minecraft.
Other than what the others have already said: Minecraft isn't free, you need to pay. If you start looking online then you may find several sites which claim to provide you with "free" accounts, free alts if you will. Don't trust them. This stuff isn't free, if you follow up then all you'd be doing is stealing from others and I am happy to say that EMC anticipated for that: it can will get you banned. Rule of thumb: If you're not getting the account directly from Mojang OR using an account loaned to you by a friend that cannot verify he/she is the rightful owner (via a receipt of the purchase), assume the account was not gained legitimately. I'm not saying all cases of not possessing recepits means the account isn't legitimate, as I've lost a few receipts myself from years past for various items. But when it comes to playing on EMC be weary should you even remotely suspect an account is not legitimately owned.
