Has anyone else experience some of the captchas for voting sites have become more tedious? Seems a few you have to solve a dozen or so only for it to decide you did the captcha wrong and do it over again, maybe twice.
Yes I had this problem many times. 'Click on the cars' .. failed. Click all bikes ... nope.. They are becoming very awful.
Ok, so it's not just me. I try to go through each site daily, but recently by the third or fourth one on the list it's too tedious.
The voting sites use reCaptcha, which is a Google service. I've noticed that when i am signed in to my Google account there are no reCaptcha popups at all. As soon as i sign out of Google, the popups show up. Try signing into Google, solve the reCaptchas for a few days to gain Google's trust, and see if that helps.
I have noticed this too! It happens on many websites too! I can’t even post on the skindex anymore because of the horrible captchas
These voting sites seem to be the worse offenders. Minecraft-Mp.com MinecraftServers.org MinecraftServers100 MinecraftServers.biz PlanetMinecraft.com
I wonder if that's possible. I've never heard of ReCaptcha taking into account what site it's used on, honestly. I've also never had to do it so many times... I do have a theory for a reason, though. I guess that more and more people are creating bots to try to take on the captcha's - and fail. However, bots trying the captcha's greatly influences the data for what's correct and what's wrong. This should indeed work. However, recently I have got a captcha again every now and then. But not multiple a day, I think. Sometimes I don't even need to check the checkmark.
Even then I still have to solve it. It's awful the picture they give us, worst one is "Find the Store Front" is really irritating. Then you need to solve the next one and the pictures don't represent the question and you have to start from square one... Really don't understand why they can't just check mark and go like they used to.
You can click 'Skip' or something alike if the pictures don't represent the question. Unfortunately computers are better at that than humans, nowadays.
Yes, captcha is dumb - a history lesson. The only new things I've learned from Captcha since then: 1. Sometimes a street sign includes the pole, sometimes it doesn't. Your choice will be wrong. 2. Every picture of a car or a bus was taken with a pre 80's grainy ass camera. 3. If it's the kind that disappears and reappears you'll be clicking 12 or more pictures. 4. Whoever added "sidewalks" should be fired. So, captcha is still dumb. Only ServerPact with the "slide to activate" is really worth the time!
I used to always have to do the captcha things but after a while they always go away so I only have to check off the "not a robot" box. After I go on a vacation though it'll pop up again making me do them but eventually after like 5 days I just have to click the "not a robot" box so I think if you continue voting they'll eventually go away ?
I have to agree that this is getting annoying sometimes. The 3rd site (minecraft-mp.com) always makes you fill out the captcha no matter what, that's not quite the idea behind recaptcha. Fortunately the 4th entry (minecraft-server-list.com) makes up for that because they don't check their recaptcha at all. So you can just fill in your name and click submit and it will never fail.
I actually vote on my phone using chrome and the voting captcha's get accepted automatically LOL. Might be a bug of some sort, but i don't vote on my pc since I found this out. Saves me a huge amount of time.
