  1. Your primary outpost's name? Meadow Hills
    Is it established? Yes
Number of members (estimate okay)? 10-15
Are you a member of multiple outposts? No
    If yes, how many? N/A
Would you use an Empire Outpost Communication Forum? Yes
Additional comments: I think this is a great idea. We currently use group PM's as our primary form of communication and things tend to get lost in the shuffle as we are not able to pin important rules or information (and we also start a new message any time a new member is added so they are never able to see important conversations that have happened before their time.

We currently have a post in the OutPosts thread that I personally share important rules and info regarding our OP but seems other members are reluctant to post/communicate tere, so having your suggestion as an alternative to private messages would work out great for us.

I also really like the option to pin important things to the top, so I can makes sure people see them. I also default to talking in private message to my OP as I want to make sure everyone sees it. I am reluctant to post it on our forum thread because I don't want it to be lost in the shuffle, or missed by anyone if they aren't on the forums for a few days.

  2. I would like to add, as a member of Sunnyvale, that we use Discord lately more than any other resource. We have an Outpost Channel where most of us can take care of outposty matters. I am not opposed to something like this though. I know that not everyone uses/likes discord. The only thing I might ask be added to this idea is something in the "Outpost Forums" that would act as a classified board. A place to recruit, link an outpost application for membership to, or even a place to show off your outposts builds. That's my 2 cents =)
  3. Your primary outpost's name? PINESAW CITY
    Is it established? YES
Number of members (estimate okay)? 20-25
Are you a member of multiple outposts? NO
    If yes, how many?
Would you use an Empire Outpost Communication Forum? YES
Additional comments: I THINK THIS IS A GOOD IDEA, BC SOME OF US DONT NEED MORE MAIL IN OUR INBOXES, SO I THINK THI WOULD WORK WELL :)

  4. Your primary outpost's name? Minecraft Paradise Outpost (MPO)
    Is it established? Yes
Number of members (estimate okay)? As of the last message sent to me by We3 to update the Public MPO forum with new members and I quote..."The current membership count is: 48"
Are you a member of multiple outposts? Yes
If yes, how many? 1 (personal outpost)
Would you use an Empire Outpost Communication Forum? I would... But that is a debate that needs to be handled internally to MPO first.
Additional comments: I think this is a great idea and maybe something that has been needed for a while since outpost groups need to turn to other means to establish private communications with all the members of an outpost that was not previously available because of the limitations on the number of people max in PMs.

  5. Your primary outpost's name? The Jinsue Empire
    Is it established? Yes
Number of members (estimate okay)?About 20+
Are you a member of multiple outposts? No
    If yes, how many?
Would you use an Empire Outpost Communication Forum? Quite likely.
    Additional comments:
The Jinsue Empire already uses its own Discord server where we post everything, however some of our members are unable not permitted to use Discord for various reasons. As such, we may not communicate a great deal on a forum, but we would use it for announcements and updates for those members who cannot join us on Discord. I think it would be a "nice to have" for our neighbours as well, if they want to see what we are up to.

  6. I'm not a member as of this moment of an outpost, but I am still searching for "the one" so to speak.

I imagine many of the larger ones would have their own chats elsewhere already, but I also think being able to keep things EMC related here is an awesome idea!

  7. My outpost only has around 5 members so I wouldn't use this feature but could see it being useful for outposts such as PoC, although it might be better to put developer resources towards updates that help everyone, IMHO, but I certaintly do see it being useful for some of the larger outposts.

  8. Not sure if this is a copyright infringement on my name or if I should be flattered. Hehehe :p

  9. This would not require any developer time, only mine.
  10. Naw, it's just a name i thought captured the idea behind the place. Invited players can build whatever hey want in the designated free build area on the north end of the island, easy breezy, no big ..deezy? no idea. Anyways, you're welcome to build something there if you want.

    Additional comments

As I can talk to myself without a forum, I wouldn't need this. However, if I ever open this to the "public", I think I need some means of communication, and some way to write down some rules, quickly. I could easily put up a website somewhere myself, but telling a member "from now on, you'll see a new section on the EMC forum page, make sure you visit it" is *so* much easier, and would create *so* much less "forgot the URL" spam, that I'd prefer an EMC solution over my own one every time.

  12. So......
What happens when I go to an area that looks empty or there are structures far away 500 blocks or so (who counting) and I build a farm and some of my own structures and it ends up being part of someone's Outpost territory?
DO you think I'm just going to move on? What is preventing Outpost from grabbing all the good land in an area?
My play style is to expand with mini bases all over the map, some connected and some not. Plus I like to create road houses and different structures that are both interesting and sometimes useful to other players. I have an unending task to enhance the Frontier landscape instead of destroying it by endless strip mining and deforesting. I will complain if I see other players pilfering the landscape with out restoration but the devs and the EMC community need to have some way to control this kind of action done by players that have no sense of descent behavior and should be going to the Waistland for their resources. (Just look at the SMP6 Frontier spawn)
Solve this problem and truly make EMC a better place to play.
  13. Once again not on topic. Discuss this elsewhere please.
  14. Your primary outpost's name? GoldMcDonald's
    Is it established? Yes
Number of members (estimate okay)? 3
Are you a member of multiple outposts? Yes
    If yes, how many? 3
Would you use an Empire Outpost Communication Forum? Yes
Additional comments: Think about world peace for 10 minutes each day. It is (almost) the least you can do.
  15. Please see the updated sign-up thread for this. The idea has been accepted.
