  5. Something you assumed, anyways.

You might aswell take off the poll.

That aside, you might aswell host a test HG server and see how that goes. Maybe people would actually join
    and like it.

I disagree with the exp rewards, though. seeing as how 1.3 prettymuch makes mob grinders reward you enough exp to enchant all your stone tools forever.

unless you throw in exp rewards of several hundred levels or something. that or something more material.
spectator bets, promise(false?) delicious moist caek, become tanasinn, etc
  6. Fair enough response, but I keep it because I want to see the general attitude towards PVP. In that regards- it hass done it's job.

I would like to, but that is outside my realm of skill and resources. Again, I'm loyal to EMC. Also, the testing woudl be irrelevant because Hunger Game MC PVP is already wildy successful. It could even be MC 'DotA'. I can build and balance a game, but going about making the server, coding it, funding it, managing it- I can't do.

Well, not everyone wants to, has the ability, or has the resources to make enchanted stuff. Yet, enchanted items are in high demand, always. Simply adding even a small reward would add a lot to the game, but not break it. But I'm also for 'lol' rewards like a cake. Maybe even a 'coded sign' that says HG winner and glows or something and can be placed in a trophy room.
  7. 1. I only see a solution, and it is seeming better every second:)
    2. Lies.
    3. You cannot assume anything, as you dont know if anyone actually has or hasnt read your post.
  8. If the testing for the community's reaction is irrelevant, why even start a topic?
And test server is for admins to test the community's reaction and general attitude towards the idea. and obviously not something a player is going to do.

Mining can quickly give you enough exp to max level enchant in 1.3, killing a few creepers attempting to sneak up on you while mining can achieve the same effect. Cooking delicious abused bacon can also achieve the same effect.
This is based on the snapshot in ssp, however.

Probably better to have a leaderboard to record wins, and since HG games seem to be rather long, perhaps the reward should be worth it? something to entice a player to do this activity, You can do this just for fun, sure, but that ofton does not last long enough for this idea to stabilize. but this is just halfassed experience from other games. i.e. a fun level instance in tera is fun as hell, but nobody wants to do it because the rewards are generally a waste of time, etc, and you would have just two people who wants to do it for fun in queue all day long(ceptlancers).

  10. Unsure if he actually broke any of those.
  11. A majority of his comments are snide. They are rude, but in a way that Mods cant directly call him out on.
  12. Like, so, it has to do with anything.. how?

  13. What? There was miscommunication there. If it was implemented into EMC, ofc it should be tested.

I question the rates it will give exp. Also, for the same reason MOJANG decided to add extra methods to get exp, is the same reason why I think something other than mob grinders should be a means to get exp. Also, I'm sure bringing a few stacks of wood and diamonds to a mob grinder with an enchant room will ever be seconded to achieve enchanted goods.
    OFC :]

I agree. As for the rewards, that would be worth discussing later if it ever comes up. I'm trying to find the reason why anyone would be against this in the first place. I'm under the assumption people don't want PVP to affect their SMP in ANY way. So an irresistible reward system might just be what the majority isn't for.

Depending on how many people would actually 'que' the game would simply mean less or more server(s)/game(s). Without much doubt I feel there will always be a decent amount of players in an EMC PVP event. The reward, to me, is an excuse to break the monotony, and have a fun PVP experience. Anything after that is gravy. Again, I'm for awards. But I feel people are just SO against PVP because they don't want it to affect their SMP. So I'd be happy with ...
If the PVP doesn't have much attention(which I personally doubt), than it will be easy to regulate and keep afloat. If it receives a lot of attention than- that just means a lot of people are having fun! Regardless of the award. =]
  14. /shrug Some people come here because there is no PVP and they are bored. I realize this even if they don't. ;)
  15. No too much chaous but a mob arena would be nice
  16. How so? The event would be easily regulated, balanced, and planned. It would easily be the most ordered thing in EMC, next to the residence system. (assuming its a hunger games, like discussed). I feel a mob arena would be chaos. (Like most that I've seen are.)
  17. I think this thread should be closed because
    A. Its now useless because its obvious that a majority of us "ignorant" players dont want pvp.
    B. Only "ignorant" people are against pvp, and their position doesnt matter.
    C. The author is right, and all of us "ignorant" people are clearly wrong.
    D. The author realizes things that none of us "ignorant" people do.
    E. The author is superior and all of us "ignorant" people shouldnt be allowed to post anything.
  18. And this has something to do with my reply to jkjkjk... how?
