Hi gang! A few weeks back us folks on SMP2 started talking and before we knew we started an ad-hoc player ran mining event, and I'm still amazed how well it all went. My only 'problem': I lost quite some sleep that night Yesterday I came online a little earlier than planned and noticed that there was already plenty of stuff going on. SO now my idea: A mining event around the evening but local European time (CET), so roughly 18:00 - 19:00 CET which would be around 12:00 - 13:00 EMC time (EST). Obvious question: could that work for you and would you consider attending? If enough people like the idea then I'm seriously tempted to try and give this another shot. The SMP is already determined: that would be SMP4, Aya told me that there are some really nice spots there.
The best time would for me be about one and a half hours later, I'm usually eating at that time But, I like the Idea
It'd work for me, surely. I'd have to ask to get dinner done early or make dinner myself so I can make sure it gets done in time, but it seems doable. To me, from 19:00 to 20:00 would probably work better, though, so I don't have to make too much haste. Then it's 1 to 2 PM EST, though, so people in that time zone would have to have lunch quite early (or very late, I suppose) But this was mainly for us Europeans, right?
Sounds awesome! I'd definitely try to attend! I should always be able to come if it's 20:00 and later, before that I'll sometimes still be eating.
There's an old saying: "You don't know until you tried". And quite frankly I could use the experience in hosting stuff because (uh oh, here he goes again): both Aya & me still have our anniversary event planned ("only" 245 days overdue for me and 107 days for Aya) So this (or next) week Aya & me will be scouting for a suitable location on SMP4 and then we'll set something up. Time comments noted: I'll move the thing a little bit backwards: aiming for 20:00 CET (so 14:00 EMC time). Thanks for your comments so far!
I believe I can make it, just depends on what day. When I start getting back into EMC I can start up my FNM again
