This... please no. At least make it an option to turn it off without the 'white feather'. If this is not an April fools, that is.
Sorry guys, this needed to be done. Let me break it down for you. EMC is slowing down, that is just a fact. We're not drawing in nearly enough people. If we want EMC to stay alive, we need to appeal to a wider range of people, this including people that enjoy things such as factions and hardcore PvP. But we haven't forgot about all the other people as well! Like Davie said, just carry the feather around, and you will be safe. I think this was a good decision, it allows for the higher level of PvP that a lot of people desire, without sacrificing the option to choose your own play style.
i agree with you, i do not like how war will break loose in the wild and wastelands. However, the staff have come up with many ways to prevent that from happening to those who do not wish to participate. Players can just better prepare and carry the yellow feather at all times. pay to make it soulbound and you will never have to worry about pvp. Personally, im excited for this "buying soulbound" option for now i can go into the wastelands or wild and feel confident that i wont come back with everything gone. Get your feather ready and equip it with soulbound+ pvpv will never be a problem for you ^.^
I just literally woke up! The chicken sound thing should've hinted it at first, but nooo. Here I was sadly going "ok, ok... well... i'll... just have to be careful ;_;".
Preach it. This is what's best in the long run of the server. Remember it's still an economy server, so it's not like you can't get stuff you need, there is bound to be some brave souls who will risk their well being to provide to their loyal customers!
I am certain that this is a joke. If this wasn't then the whole concept of Empire Minecraft would be ruined. Also, programming the crafting recipe is impossible on Spigot
This shall be good. We can travel around in marauding hordes. Waiting at the bottom of each outpost for someone to step off that doesn't display subservience to us by clucking like a scared little chicken. If they do show any self respect and don't cluck subservience we will all gang up on them, kill them, and steal all their things. Better yet put on Hide and wait at the community farms for the unsuspecting. And then lop their head off and take all their worldly goods. And the unsuspecting new members will have something to send them to their mommy. I can only hope we are allowed to also use tnt so that we can raze the landscape into a barren no mans land.
this is another good point, although white feathers will help those who do not want to pvp in the wild, it does ruin others from mob/boss hunting together. No one will go hunting for mini bosses together anymore if they will be worried about someone taking all their loot after. Maybe staff could put a little more into this white feather idea and create a safety net that allows players to still come together as a group and hunt mini bosses. Implement a feature into to groups or the clans coming out soon that will fix this. I dont see this update all bad, i think there just needs to be more features of it that better accommodate for aspects of emc that people like already. Encourage both pvp and working together as a community.
Nope, custom crafting recipes are 100% possible. See dragon stones. It's also important to remember that we will be running Paper in 1.9, not Spigot.
