WARNING: Do not engage the new Giganotosaurus. There is a lvl 116 near our base. It does 2,000 points of damage each hit!!! I have already lost my 223 lvl hawk, 202 & 150 Rex, and 200 lvl Spino. The Ark forums are screaming about how over powered they are. They are way more powerful than an Alpha T-Rex. I hate these things and from my understanding, they are not great when tamed. The more damage it takes, the more damage it does. How great would it be if your tamed Giganotosaurus killed all your dinos because it got mad. Domesticated: Taming Giganotosaurus is a dangerous prospect. Its rage reaction, even when tamed, can sometimes cause it to briefly turn on members of its own tribe. Indeed it may even throw off its rider if it has been sufficiently angered! And yet, the sheer size and immense power that the Giganotosaurus possesses means that some factions endeavor to tame it as a fear-inducing "capital" beast of war -- even at great risk!
We just knocked out the Giganotosaurus. It is 116 lvl. It has 303,450 hp and 79,000 torpor!!! EDIT: We shot it with about 400 narc arrows and only did 10% damage (30k). This thing is a beast! EDIT: It loses torpor at over 300 per second. It woke up. Dice and I will try again later.
It loses torpor at a silly rate but when given narcs it's torpor rises at the same rate as any other dino. So the way to deal with the torpor is to let it drop by 4000 and then remote use 100 narcs, this will slowly restore the torpor over 500 seconds giving you about 8 mins to get more narcs and prime before torpor start to plummet again.
Yeah. I did the calculation yesterday. I need to give it 400 narcotics to start and then 100 narcotics every 5 minutes. I need a little over 3,000 narcotics. I currently have 2,100 and working on getting the rest before I attempt it again. Looks like when I tame it, it will only have about 180k to 200k hps because they have reduced tamed giganoto hp by 40%. I am using cooked prime meat, so it should take about 2.2 hours to tame. It is going to be a boring tame because I have to literally sit there and pump narcotics in every 5 minutes. Torpor rises 4 per second per narcotic so I figure 5 minutes gives me some buffer. I do not want it to wake up. I will also have my scorpion next to it to hit it if I run out of narcotics. Once it is tamed, anyone who wants to can borrow her. I don't think there is anything else out there that can kill her. I have sent it 2 hit a bronto and kill it. I never thought it would be that powerful. I lost my best 4 dinos to it.
Wow... I thought this would match about an alpha T-rex, but it seems more like the dodorex... I am not really glad they added it though, because like chicken said when one of these spawns next to your base, gg... and I honestly dont like the idea you can tame something that makes you invincible :$
Just bought the game and I'm have trouble connecting to the server it will load for a bit then tell me connection timed out
That somethimes happens to me too, and I dont know what causes it or fixes it, but for me one of these usually works: Try to restart your ark There might be an update to ark so check for that, or there might just have been an update and the server has to update still or something like that You could also try to look for internet problems, as somethimes when my internet is not working like it is supposed to I cant connect either. Or, somethimes I just have to wait for a bit and try again in a minute or 10 :/ Anyways, New member yay! !
Thanks! Just got ma internet fixed after like 3 months so I still got to my computer connected to it fully.
After several wifi, computer and ark reboots I still can't connect. I have tried connecting to NA and EU servers and they work fine any ideas?
Yes and I would type it in and it would load up to landscapelevel then go back to main server menu and say 'connecting' then say 'connection timed out'
I've been playing Ark with some friends from work for about 3 months now...it's a TON of fun! It's MUCH better when you have a big tribe with lots of people who can play often. The breeding system is freakin' sweet as well. (PUPPIES AND KITTENS!) I'll have to come check out the server soon!

Basically don't PvP, don't destroy others stuff and, most importantly, have fun! Don't be afraid to ask for help. If you need something made that is above your level, any of us will be happy to do it if you supply the materials.

Hi MD! Do you still get on? I have been feeding your dinos because I can put food in your troughs but I think your Bronto might be too far away from the food trough. I usually feed them when I go to feed the main base dinos. Are you still planning on coming back?
