Yeah what I mean is, once you've found one (or it's found you), the dying bit pretty much seems to take care of itself.
They are not that difficult. I was fighting them off with iron: sword, helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots. No enchants. Just mining, minimal torches. Build safe locations with beds and be prepared to fight at night/in the dark.
The one Enraged Skeleton that I did find did go down pretty easy, some simple diamond/enchanted iron armour is more than enough.
Yup. General Minecraft logic will go a long ways. Sometimes it's just normal for people to confuse the word "different" with "OMFG THE WORLD IS ENDING IDK WHAT TO DO SERVER IS DYING FML"
well i didn't really think i was sounding like that personally, i just think that maybe these new mobs are set on abit of over kill mode( no exaggeration from my current experiences) and seems (correct me if i'm wrong) but tends to "weed out" so to speak players that are here more for the purpose and pleasure of mining and building more then for the fighting areas of the game.
You're not alone, I made my protests in this thread many pages ago. The mass consensus is, too many people are having fun beating on them for anything to change - apparently even restricting the new mobs to Wastelands is too much to ask for. Rupees don't mean jack when you're a million miles out in the wild. Just sayin'. I log in and vote every day, but aside from occasionally egging something or locking a chest, the rupees are useless.
YES, this tp back to town is good for me on smp9, got lost in the neather trying to find a portal near spawn I knew about :/
Because it is. You yourself should know that there are people who live in the frontier and stay in the frontier, they never go back to town. But of course, they still want the cool items, who wouldn't? And getting them themselves is the only option. And why is the only option? You put it perfectly yourself;
I would like to point something I have no armor on and I'm using a stone sword and look what I made. I don't think its supposed to do that.
What's happened there is that some of the formatting has been reset. To be precise the §r code which gets rid of the italics you see there. Perhaps a bug for Aikar to know about?
We didn't mean everyone, but there are always a few who do tend to go way overboard with anything we do here, haha. Also, that is not what we're doing. Plenty of people have already stated that they're able to mine just fine, even while encountering the new mobs. At the same time we are Survival but have always been on "Easy" mode, which was a mistake. Moving to Normal Mode is making EVERY mob a tad bit harder, however, it by any means isn't hard enough that someone with basic armor and very basic knowledge of how to fight Minecraft Mobs can't defeat.
