This discussion is going on too much. So I'll answer you, then leave it alone. Being a long-time gamer, I know how these things work. Hence, I did not assume it was a once-only offer. In fact, I expected the voucher would become permanent in some form. (via different methods of payment at the least). And I expect more in the way of real money transactions to come from EMC as they try to increase their income and grow the server. It is not the staffs responsibility to anticipate and clarify every assumption a player might make. It's the players responsibility not to read more into the promotion than is specifically stated. I strongly recommend you don't assume any promotion is a once off, unless specifically stated. As for the real world... well you are correct in a way... so much of what people do serves no practical purpose, and there are a LOT of words written that hardly anybody reads.
Agreed NZScruffy, Agreed! I expressed what I needed to, and the Staff responded... Life is fantastic! Hope you all take advantage of gifting your friends! Its an awesome feeling to support EMC, and friends at the same time!
This is a long awaited turn in EMC history At least I was speculating when it might happen - as I was (among others) suggesting something like that long ago. Now that (potentially) anyone can buy supporter status for rupees, the economy will slowly get rounded up. Supporter vouchers can't really appear in the /shop right now, but once the price stabilizes, there is really nothing that would speak against that. On the contrary, there is now a new meaning in making rupees. This will boost the EMC economy and make rupees more valuable. This can also make supporter's "free rupees" unnecessary, because if you buy diamond supporter for 100k and then receive 40k back through "free rupees" is almost the same as buying diamond supporter status for 60k - without free rupees. The latter is even better because you keep and have the 40k right away. I must say, I still think that asking for contribution from every member "Wikipedia-Style" would be much more fair and better than selling rupees for US$ in one or another way. But this is still, IMO, a step in the right direction.
