  16. Welcome aboard, although I have to warn you that due to recent problems with griefage, all new recruits will go through a short probationary period where they will be closely monitored, but just don't purposely mess anything up, and you'll be fine :)

    Due to the new that iron and gold farms will be nerfed in 1.8, iron and gold are now tightly controlled substances, and while still accessible if cleared with me or Lucky, they will no longer be open to the general public, as it will be needed in the near future.     Major News Here!
    With the upcoming update of 1.8, you can expect a rewrite* to our Constitution

    Due to the many problems it will cause to how our payment system works.

    Before you wonder, "what will he change??", I will tell you now instead.
    This will more than likely be a more Capitalistic push,
    one where the crew will have to be less dependent on shares,
    but rather more dependent on
    "earning their keep."

    My reasoning is this. It is two sided.
    1. Iron farms will effectively be useless for revenue, as afking will NOT be an option there come 1.8.
    -iron will become more useful for the everyday utility, may be actively grinded.
    2. Share portions are seemingly small, and private land is difficult to get, as seen by example.
    -Some revenue has gone to public funds, thus lowering share amounts.
    -There will always be a community aspect that we will keep, but, economically, we can allow individuals to prosper more.

    No changes have taken place yet, and they won't for a while.
    Be prepared for when they do.

    *The Captain CAN do this, in case you were wondering. Active Laws will remain upheld and kept.
