  1. You first have to do all of the activation and enabling for that, use this video to help you:

    You can then use this video to find out where to do the custom thumbnail (it's just the button under the 3 pictures in the video manager, but you have to enable it like I shown you above first):

  2. YouTube has a known problem with thumbnails right now, I believe a lot of YouTubers are having the same issue.
