I'm not adding this to the suggestion thread because I don't think it could be done. It would be interesting to put an elytra on a lead and fly it like a kite.
Haha, yes, fun idea! I've looked to see whether anyone's made a mod to accomplish this, but it doesn't look like it.
That is a great idea, I like it. It could move around like the way a bobber does while fishing. How about letting it be struck by lightning and send that energy to a mob to energize it? That could give the player the Franklin achievement.
How about an invisible phantom wielding a visible banner-kite? Spawns with a fishing rod in your hand, the string attached to the invisible phantom. The only problem is how the phantom behaves. If it's hostile, it'll just hug you all the time. If it's friendly/neutral, it might get stuck every time you go through a doorway because it's trying to fly on the other side. Perhaps if it behaves like a dog, it might find ways to maneuver around obstacles to stay close to you without hugging you, though it won't behave exactly like a kite.
I'm bit like this idea, so you can transport passenger with elytra. Also can i add extra feedback? If allowed, i would like to add chest on kite for easier item transport Anyways, bliriant idea!
