I'm sick?

  1. Honestly, I don't think i've ever felt like crap so much. My neck constantly hurts, it hurts even more when I move it, I can barely swallow anything. I also have a headache and I feel dizzy when I stand up. Any idea what's wrong with me?
  2. No, but go to the doctor! You don't play with sickness! ^_^

  3. My parents will laugh at me and say 'it's just a cold, there's no need to go to the doctor - wait a few days and it will be gone'.

  4. Meh, this happens a lot with me. Just lay down, have some tea (I love tea ^_^), and sleep.

  6. It's probably just strep throat. If you mean your throat hurts and your neck doesn't. Don't know how to help you even further.
  7. I mean both.
I drink tea all the time :p
  8. I just checked the back of my throat, and the right side of it looks swollen and i'm now beginning to get a pain my right ear. As soon as I noticed that I ate a chocolate mousse (and for some reason I had to chew it unless it hurt to swallow) and the pain numbed down enough for me to drink a cup of tea with honey in it.
  9. Do you still have your tonsils?
  10. It's the Flu and it's going around. I am sick since the day after Christmas, my wife is sick with it for 2 1/2 weeks and my 1 1/2 year old daughter has had it for a couple days longer than me.

Sorry to say, it lasts a long time this year and feels terrible. Tylonal for fever, or something for headache or muscle ache or whatever is worse. In a few days your nose will clog and drain and that goes on for days also, followed by a hacking cough. As my wife says, she is getting better because she is past the point where she doesn't care if she lives or dies.

Honestly there isn't much the doctor can do, it might not be too late for tamaflu, so you could ask a doc about that, but i've never used it myself. Just don't plan on feeling better overnight or you will be really dissapointed. My wife and daughter both got a flue shot this year, but i didn't so i gues this is the one that got away.

A couple of nights ago i was so sick that i didn't even feel like playing Minecraft!

    Get well Soon.
  11. Yes. I get very sore throats often, and have done since I was 8 (I turn 13 in may). They did calm down a bit once I was 10 and I haven't really had a major one since the beginning of 2011. I have asked my parents if I could have them removed but they said there was no need to.

EDIT: Also, I will not get a flu shot. The flu virus evolves with us, so in a few months they'll have to make another vaccine for you to get jabbed with, and that'll go on forever.
  12. For the love of God do not drink tea. It dehydrates the shizzle out of you, not good for illness.

  13. tea is amazing!!! i LOVE hot and iced tea!!

EDIT: hot tea only helps with stopped up noses
  14. Meh. Usually I have 2-3 cups a day but when i'm ill I just have maybe 1, and plenty of water (by 'maybe 1', I mean I might treat myself to another one if I feel i've drank enough).

EDIT: Also, I have a better description for how my neck felt (it's watered down on the pain it's been giving me): It felt like I pulled a muscle in my neck.

Oh yeah, my headache is gone too.
  15. You probably ate some rotten flesh.

Just messing, I'm not sure but get well soon :)

  16. Surprisingly not true, caffinated drinks have a certain myth attached to them that they cause dehydration, when in fact a person drinking these drinks will retain at least 1/2 to 2/3 of the fluid taken in from these drinks. If the drinker is a regular caffine enjoyer they usually retain more then 2/3's. :)
  17. I'm ill, at the moment (Again...) and so is Fellyboy. I have been sick and really dizzy. I have spaghetti and saw it twice >.> But I was fine until I ate it
