Forums have been fixed! First reaction to this tragedy?

  1. What was your first reaction to this tragedy?

    I was honestly a little scared.

    Thank you staff and whoever that helped for fixing.

  10. so this morning never checked fourms on mobile device before so tyed to do thought there was something wrong with my divice

  12. I'll be very honest: disappointed. I could not believe that a senior staff member would actually do something so trivially stupid (sorry, just being honest) as to actually using a shared password like that. Even though it's a very small effort not to.

    I was never scared, also because... you guessed it. Even in the impossible event that a 3rd party would obtain the password I'm using here then that's all they'd have: my EMC password. You can't use it anywhere else.

    But that does need to be stressed out: software like Xenforo uses a one-way encryption format. Which makes it nearly (not totally) impossible to obtain any passwords. Not even Aikar would be able to do that "just like that".

    So yeah...
    (I was typing this during the brief moment when Aikar had re-activated the forums ;))
