Sometimes it can be hard to get the perfect shot at a car event. In fact, most of the time, it is always hard to. Opportunities present themselves and you have to take them. Sometimes they don't present themselves, but you go for it anyway. This is me having a go anyway. Unfortunately for me, this car was parked next to another and had fences the other side of it, with people gathered all around. I got a really good picture of a portion of the car which has been previously posted, but I thought I'd share another photo of the full view... It could had been much better, but it just goes to show, even when you get great images, it takes a few to get it. I sometimes take 3 or even up to 10 photos of a car to perfect my shots. Try out different angles and keep an eye peeled for the perfect opportunities... they will come around, and you can make them happen with a bit of experimenting! You will sometimes take pictures that turn out much better than you though, and some not as good too, so you have to keep at it and keep trying - there will be those that you delete, but when you get it right? That's so, so rewarding
Cars, cars, cars! Bikes? A bike! A Royal Enfield, prototype military model, from the Beaulieu National Motor Museum
You could have tried out a shot with some background blur (bokeh). Try setting a small aperture size and then getting in front of the car center and then take a shot up the car (if that makes sense I didn't explain it that well ) to see what you think. That could make for a cool shot if it works out
It would, but the problem was that there were people either side of me that wouldn't move I have done some background blur on imgur before, and I could have also used that to crop it, so there are different things that I could have done with the shot! Thanks for the info
It is. It was a good day, which is sort of strange for England, but yeah, the reflection did put a dampener on some of the shots. It's definitely not my favourite shot, but photography is all about trying, and improving where you do not succeed. I'll have to try some better angles next time, but in all honesty, I didn't want to spend much time on photographing this car as there were many other ones of higher caliber at the event.
Quite happy with this one from Japday, and I managed to track and show the owner too, of which very much liked the image! Take a look at this Nissan Micra
This particular Mazda MX5 crashed at Japday, right in front of me on the corner I was at. The driver carried on, it goes to show the great spirit! The crowds applauded the driver for his driving, he did very well Excuse the bad quality and strange watermark, this is actually a thumbnail from the video I took of the car as opposed to an actual DSLR image!
Tankfest tickets are bought for Saturday the 25th and we are attempting to pick up Goodwood Festival of Speed tickets for Sunday the 26th. Two big events that I'll be at, and in force with my camera! Look forward to it!
Even with the Facebook page being fairly recent, we now have 17 likes! Though, I'm still trying to spread the word and get more people into it. You can take a look at the page here! https://www.facebook.com/owenbphotos/
To think that the Renault 5 Turbo was based on this base model Renault 5 is crazy! Everything about it has gone beast mode!
