Thanks alot! I worried about them the whole day , so glad that they made it out alive! ! Thanks once again!
It looks like my internet security shutted down the server searching thingy so it cant find any servers . Also I have no Idea where I can enable it again :/
And here I was trying to play some, and my Steam/ARK is just crashed. First ARK kept freezing on me after the update, so I decided to update my gfx drivers from 331 to 352 for a pretty major update. Systems up and running fine now, but now Steam has lost track of my SteamLibrary folders and wont let me add new ones... So it cant see the game EDIT: Found out its the Ubuntu Kernel update causing the problem
My "copy" of ARK doesn't seem to run too well on my GTX 670 4gb card. Is anyone else running a comparable "old" card and not getting the best (above medium) performance?
I am using a GTX560 TI and was experiencing bad framerates even with settings on lowest. I then moved the game to a SSD and now experience framerate issues very rarely. It is running so well I am considering bumping some of the graphic option up a notch.
Yeah they released the update. Sadly newest nvidia gfx drivers didnt help any it seems. Though maybe it helped with the cave graphics, i haven't played as much lately since been so busy.
http://www.ark-survival.net/en/dynamic-livemap/?mapid=9187538 Cool site with shared map that can be zoomed in and markers added. I've added my base and a couple of things I found. Feel free to add more. Would be cool if we could add bases, caves, supply drops and dangers.
Alpha dinos, especially T-rexes, are NOT to be reckoned with. If you see any alphas I suggest to not make contact with them no matter the dinos you have. I took a 10,000 health, 650 melee damage T-rex into battle against a level 52 Alpha T-rex and was killed before I even bloodied the demon. If you do find yourself taking one on I suggest having two high level, heavy hitting dinos with a person on each and then abusing the T-rexes terrible AIs (One person hits it, it then aggros on them and they run in a circle or from it. While this is happening, the other person starts hitting it from behind getting a good few hits until it starts going for that player. Just repeat until it dies. Another thing to note if you do find yourself in battle with one: They will boost other wild carnivores so if there are any other carnivores nearby an alpha, just be mindful they will be stronger than normal.
Is the Server down after the v201.0 release? I don't see it in the list to join. I was playing on it yesterday.
Keep losing my pteradons to flying ants. Find a carnivore free landing area, jump off, hear the ants coming, run around pteradon trying to mount, watch helplessly as pteradon is killed and eaten. I am left abandoned in the middle of nowhere. At least this time I brought a bed, foundations and storage so can make a camp.
I think the problem is that when a pteradon gets attacked he/she freaks out and starts flying in circles super fast so it is way to hard to hop on again. I dont know if it is still a bug because I havent been playing for long because I was in south-africa
I experienced the same problem for a while but found a couple things that usually help. If you are able to and haven't already, I heavily suggest making and placing a tracker on your main bird. I can't tell you how many times that trackers saved my birds from being lost (Most of the time they were 500 blocks away at the bottom of the ocean...). Something else that has helped me is having them always follow you, that way you can put them on Neutral and after going ballistic they'll still fly back to you. The main thing that helps is definitely the tracker though and if you can't afford the materials I would be happy to make you one.
It was quite low (guessing at about 20). I had used all level ups to boost stamina, maybe I should increase health. Thanks for the offer. They are quite expensive material wise (for me at least), so don't put yourself out on my behalf.
