Nothing makes me more unsettled than a thief. Thankfully for my sake and theirs, our paths haven't crossed yet. Never say never. Sorry this happened to you. Hope they catch the S-O-B. Jeez, I hope the glass didn't hurt her badly. Glass shards are nothing to play with. Sorry man. That's some stress there!
I don't think they'll catch them. My girlfriend (student forensic scientist/aspiring CSI), the police officer who took our statements, and the crime scene investigator believe that it was the next door neighbours - but there just isn't enough evidence to start throwing the accusation around officially, and it's doubtful there ever will be.
Girlfriend wasn't hurt too bad by the shower door though. Had a big gash on her fingertip that made the blood loss look waaay worse than it was and gave me a fright when I went in to help, but she got lucky with that being the worst of it. Hoping 2024 brings us some better luck though 💀💀
