Aww. :/ Are you sure you're not just searching in the wrong spot? :) I know someone who searched for more than an hour over multiple occasions until he finally found it. :P
I haven't searched, my family did. My mother said on the phone that a whole bunch of other bikes had their saddles and/or tires ruined, so I suppose it was a group of people.
Ahh, that sucks! Either way, I still recommend searching again, as sometimes bikes can hide themselves somehow. :P
Things like this are why, despite my extra lock, I still always worry when I have to leave my bike somewhere.
I might start using the "bewaakte fietsenstalling" (couldn't find the English word) there. But this was caused by a combination of three occurrences that are all quite rare, as far as I know (1: me forgetting to lock my bicycle, 2: my mother forgetting to pick up my bicycle (normally she picks it up again ASAP), 3: vandals/thieves visiting the "fietsenstalling").
Guarded bicycle somethingsomething, I think. :)
1: ah, that isn't entirely positive... :P That is why I always check it at least three times before leaving... :P So far, I've only forgot it once, but that was because I went to somewhere else than normal - and I got my mother to lock it within a few hours. :P
2: ah oops. :P
3: yeah that's what I often worry about, and it's also why, even though I can cycle, when I go to my local train station, I generally walk (1.5km), so I won't worry the entire day about it. :P
If it's locked, maybe you have some sort of insurance thing that can help?
For correct English it should be "flat", instead of "leak". :) (even though a flat tyre isn't always physically flat :P)
Ah, I thought if it was flat you could simply pump it up again (lol, that's also not correct I'm sure), while in this case the air just flows out of it again.
