As for the fossil fuels part, your dad did not pass a basic earth science class.

Probably that the earth formed 2000 years ago and fossil fuels are just rocks.

Honestly, I'm surprised he didn't say that the universe revolved around the earth.

He believes the earth is 6000 years old, and that it doesnt make sense that all those plants and animals could seep into the hard crust of the earth and make billions of tons of oil. My mom believes it to, my sister said that I was being stupid and my entire family is against me

His alternate explanation is that God just "put it there" and that God doesn't need animals and plants to make oil, so he says I am limiting God and disrespecting him

I also talked about how Kangeroos were only native in Australia and that there are no fossils found to suggest them being native anywhere else in the world, basically disproving noah's ark. He then told me that the people took the kangeroos over to australia by boat.
