I mean... lots of places in the Overworld to explore (now also under water), there's already "new" stuff for the End and well... the Nether was never meant to be an inviting area in the first place, so I think that's also fitting as it is right now.

I believe 1.14 is going to be a nether-over haul update. It is also confirmed that tons stairs and slabs of many blocks will be added in this update

I have always seen MC is a console instead of a game... =P the game has been finished a long time ago, but the console can always see some improvements

For me, it was finished five years ago after the addition of horses. Every update afterwards just killed the game more and more for me and nothing has ever felt actually needed. There's such a thing as too much.

I personally don't believe they could ever technically "finish" it, but like 1.0, 1.2, 1.7, and 1.9 were, 1.13 will be an absolute makeover. Even 1.5, 1.6, 1.8, and 1.11 weren't bad at all compared to some "major" updates.

Nether update? Interesting. It would definitely fit in :) and yeah, now that the block limit is gone we could always use more! :) thanks for sharing!

Impossible, minecraft is a sandbox game, it will always be needing fixes and improvements, and I do not think they will stop until the developers decide to call it quits and retire minecraft, which should be incredibly unlikely, I see minecraft going on for another 25 years before any signs of stopping.

@We3: Prior to 1.13 there was a 'physical' limit to the amount of blocks they could add, basically because of the way this was programmed. This is one of the reasons you have 'variants' (many blocks sharing the same ID), like the stone variants. 1.13 removes that limit, so they can now basically add whatever they want.
