  1. 2 Questions:
Why does the zombie virus help kill the giant?
And people are saying that the marlix takes so long to kill. How much health does it have, and how do they not die in the fight?
  2. Marlix literally took N1NJA_A55A1N and I 40 minutes to kill. The reason why it takes so long is because every time he gets hit, he spawn the Enraged skeleton is groups of around 4. His bow has like Punch 10 (swear) and he flies around in the middle of the ocean, making it harder to keep up with him. When you DO kill him though.. he dropped 14 diamonds, 19 shiny arrows, his Special item, and bones.
  3. Aikar confirmed that shiny arrows and diamonds are 100% drop, every thing else is not, so If you don't get that, it is most likely a bug. Or you killed it in illegal ways.
  4. What I want to know is, what is the function of a shiny arrow, and if it is used with an infinity bow, will it still function as shiny and infinite?
  5. Only one way to.find that out I would imagine

  6. but I don't have any is the problem
  7. Well maybe you should go get some.
  8. So many things I want to test but no time...
Has anyone tried feeding shiny flesh to the Hell Hounds or shooting them with shiny arrows?

Edit: I can see the logic being Giants flesh makes them grow to a Hound boss and the arrows are used to kill it? Or..Make this happen Aikar
  9. I should, but what other than marlix drops them
  10. So someone gave me a few, and I tested it out, and I have figured out a few things
Shiny Arrows cannot become infinite by a normal bow at least (I dunno about marlix's bow)
And if shot by an infinite bow, you cant pick it back up
If shot by a normal bow and missed, it turns into a normal arrow
  11. And what about shiny flesh?
  12. As for the Marlix drops is it just the bow and boots?
  13. No. I have armor. Almost the full set actually.
  14. It isn't that hard when you have a bow with at least power 1 and a bunch of arrows and full iron armor and fire resistance or water, It took me about 3 or 4 hits with my power 1 bow to kill one
  15. That Marlix must have already been damaged, i wasted a Power V bow trying to kill one. The bow was fully repaired at the start, it didnt have unbreaking though. Granted I did miss a lot because Marlix flies around like crazy, but I finished her off with one of the enraged skeleton dropped bows
  16. He spawns 2 at your position, not himself.

  17. I still have mixed answers to some questions. From mods and players alike on here and in game. I have heard from here and there that some mobs drop their skulls now (no im not talking about wither skeletons I know they do). So I have heard and seen screenshots (easily can be fake) of people getting creeper heads. I also have heard of skeleton heads. I haven't heard anything about zombie heads yet but its a possibility.

So do regular mobs drop their heads? Or is it only the new special mobs? Because I have heard of a few players at grinders not getting any skulls yet after killing lots of them.

Also another question which I believe I know the answer but not a 100% sure. If you get your own skull in game but change your skin through the mojang servers does it change the skull as well? Or will they stay the same look previously? I assume they change with your skin but just wanted to make sure.
  18. I myself got a zombie head by a normal zombie. So it's possible that normal mobs drop their skull.

I read somewhere Aikar said only "normal spawned" mobs drop their heads, so not from spawners or darkroomgrinders.
[EDIT]: by darkroomgrinders the player has to do the most damage. So if they die by falldamage/lava/etc. it won't work, the player has to kill them.

And if you change your skin the heat will also change.

  19. You can get zombie, creeper, ad skeleton heads. For proof, go to 4254 and walk ino the castle and go to the throne.
However, only NATURAL SPAWNS will give you mobs that drops heads. If a dungeon spawned spawns the mob, you will not get heads.

And yes, changin your skin changes the player skull
  20. Aikar revealed it in a previous post somewhere. NO special loot is dropped from mobs spawned by a spawner. And you must do most of the damage (A drop from a darkroom grinder would not yield heads)
