I Hate The Microsoft Minecraft Installer

This thing has been nothing but a pain in the butt with trying to get it installed on my laptop. I have no idea why in the world Microsoft can't make it so an installer works like it did before they took of MC. Ugh.

ATLauncher is decent, but doesnt support multiple instances running at once, but I like it regardless.

PrismMC is a fork of MultiMC, but with improvements and cleanup that the dev of MultiMC decided not to implement. Might worth your while because I use PrismMC whenever I play Minecraft!

I use the windows 8 launcher rather than the one from the store. It's simple to isnstall

I am completely unbiased (absolutely so) in saying that the Modrinth App is the best Minecraft launcher.

Will all these other launchers work without installing MC?

I mean, they all download the .jar files to run the game, but they give you much more control than the default launcher/installer.

Which one do you mean? This one, or this one? I only use the former, and it works fine for me.

My issue is that I can't even get the standard MC downloader to even download the game. Works fine on the desktop, but not my laptop.
