When I joined back in 2014 it was a few weeks before Christmas and they were hosting a special firefloor. I had no clue what it was but everyone was going so I checked it out. I ended up winning it and was a few options for my prize. I don't even remember the other options, I just remember everyone telling me to take the Rudolph egg. "What is a promo" I said. I wanted to look into these more since this was the first time I've seen non vanilla items in the game. Through my searches I came across Hashhog's museum and your's. When I saw the sheer size of your's I was instantly hooked and wanted my own. They way you had everything laid out with item frames and buttons to tell us what the items were. Loved it all. The special items room you had in the ground floor, I would visit that all the time. I tried for years to build something like yours but I severly lacked the design skills Since that firefloor I was on a mission to try and collect everything I could. I spent a massive amount of time building farms, collecting items to sell or trade so that I could buy anything I was missing. I got to meet alot of great people threw the different interactions. It took a few years but I was finally able to collect every single item on the Promotional Items list in the wiki. When I heard about what happened to your res I was devistated. Not about the value of items, it was the extreme loss of history. It's not just blocks in a game is was an inspiration to so many. The only thing I was happy about was the fact that I made a download copy of your res some month prior just because I wanted to have my own copy. I still have that save and can provide it to you if you would like. I am working on my own museum at the momment (very slowly though ) and hope it can live up to what you have done. It's sad to see you go though but I completely understand it. You were a very popular and large part of the community back when I was coming up. When you made staff it inspired me to apply as well and after about a year and a half I was finally able to join the green team as well. I appreciate all that you have done to make this place what it was and I am grateful that I was part of it. (Even if I kept messing up your name early on calling you FNDY ) All the best in what ever you are doing now my friend!
Hey mate, I have to say the loss of your museum was a great loss for the community, but you not being here was of a much greater impact to be honest. I will always recall our mutual fascination for the classics, especially those vehicles less known. It was a pleasure to have common interest with certain players for hobbies outside of minecraft, and engage in other discussions at times. In fact your new page is one of only 3 that I actually follow, and will continue to check on from time to time, though I rarely look at any channels in the first place The one other fact I cearly recall was from my early days... as I always said you should be called correctly by your true name of FEDNY, not Fendy which seems to have been some sort of distorted error that emerged and stuck from the early days before I began playing. I think that should be corrected here, for now and ever more. lol Honestly though, best of luck for all you do in the future, may life bring you to the happiest of places, driving of course the coolest of cars!!
Sad to hear that your residence got forceclaimed. I loved the memories I made with my fellow horse breeders back in 2018. Most of us have moved on from EMC by now, but the memories will stay forever.
Where to start... when I (previously benthebobjr) first connected to SMP9 back in 2012 everything was so fascinating to me. It was the first Minecraft server I had joined and already, so young into EMC's history, there was so much to see and explore. I can't remember when our first interaction was or what it was, but I do remember my friend coolmanbackoff and I being enthralled by the things you had built and the collection you had amassed. I vividly remember sitting in the AFK pool on your res while not being AFK just, for some reason, having fun watching the water flow my character around without going AFK. Or exploring your museum, reading all the information on all the promos, learning all the lore, gaining curiosity about the dragon tombs stuff, and buying one of those cool maps from your gift shop to display on my res. As silly as it might sound, you were someone I looked up to in my early days of EMC. Or, in 2016, when EMC hosted UHC events every so often. I remember being on your team for one of them and doing soooo poorly (I did not know how to approach combat back then). It's sad to see you go, but your impact and legacy on EMC will be a part of this server for as long as it's around. I wish you the best in all aspects of life to come!
shame to see another go, Although i don't have any specific memories i do remember seeing you around regularly all those years ago. Reading other members posts above has re ignited a few from back then but i was all so young then. Wish you well on you're channel & future endeavours though
I don't have a specific memory of you other than seeing your gamer tag from time to time when I check to see who's online. Non the less I'm sad to see you go its always a transition when long time players of Emc leave. I hope you will visit from time to time to see how things progress. I really enjoy watching how the community changes over time and how my role is formed by the people around me.
Its sad to see you go man, i remember you and nony always hosting and playing good events back in 2016-2018 ish fly high brother 🙏
Don't think we have talked at all, but I do remember seeing you at many events. Either way, you have a nice time!
Hey FDNY! Sad to hear you're 'leaving leaving' but very understandable given your love for fun & unique cars and your own YT channel!! =D Also, have to pay tribute to the force claim on your res. I so enjoyed strolling thru and reading/seeing history. Sooo, I don't have any particular story just an overall feel. We didn't really talk a lot outside of mod chat.. different time zones and all but what I do remember was your enthusiasm for cars and a really fun sense of humor. We did have some good laughs. You are also part of what shaped emc into the community it was and is.. you are part of our history. You have been and will always be missed but I'm so happy & excited for you. I've already checked out your YT channel & subscribed! I like cars too. =D Also.. I don't really need anything from the drawing but wanted to wish you well and all the happiness. Big Hugs <3
aw Fendy, you will be missed. I have a few memories interacting with you specifically, but the first one i can recall (specifically on the forums), is too quite cringy to share, lol. i hope you stop by every so often
Awww Fendy, sad to see you go! I always heard what an awesome member of EMC you were! I suppose the part I love best about EMC is the community feel we have (no matter how big or small)
My first awareness of you was hearing about the force claim. After reading your post I wish I had been around much earlier in EMC's time to be around. The community is what I like best about EMC. Last year while trading candy at the Halloween event, I met more people than I had ever before. Best wishes to you!
Hey FDNY, we didn't cross paths much, though I remember you sometimes lurking as a moderator. So good luck in the future and thanks again for your part in making EMC awesome.
Agreed! I've really been enjoying reading all people's memories, though. Related to what Raaynn said, I seem to remember that you used to correct people when they called you Fendy, but eventually you gave up... To be honest, my favourite memory to do with you was probably overtaking you in the Highest Posting Members list! I was quite proud of that. I also really enjoyed following your enthusiasm about cars, though! I'm not too much into cars myself, as you probably know, but I always like seeing that someone is passionate about something. And I'm sure I've been subscribed to your YouTube channel for very many years!
I do not believe we have crossed paths. Although I do know of your name. My favorite thing about EMC, would have to be the customization of everyone's personal gameplay, whether you like to build, or you want to have a shop, or enjoy exploring/gathering resources, or love to build farms. As well as the special promos/heads to collect. There is so many options that fits everyone's needs/wants. I personally have enjoyed over the last few years starting a shop and keeping up with that, it is what ultimately has been my personal motivation to keep coming back as well keeping up with my collections I just want to quickly say... thank you for holding this amazing giveaway and good luck with your future endeavors!
My favorite thing about EMC is the safety, creativity, and openness of the town and town residences. Could have lots of fun just exploring all the residences.
I have seen your cool username around EMC for years. Sad to see you leaving, but wish the best for your future. Generous of you to give away so much! Favorite thing about EMC is the multi-world, multi-server, connected with vaults. So we can mine the Wastelands close to spawn, then Vault items to Town on another server, or take them to base farther out in the Frontier that never resets.
I remember seeing you at various events and talking to you! You were really nice and you'll be missed here My favorite memory on EMC was opening my casino and shop on smp1. Since I started, it was my dream to have these places.. I really liked the economy aspect of this server and making new friends, and that's why I'm still here!
