  1. I would love a Zoom Lens for picture of the moon but this will do for now :p (Click to zoom or Open in new tab and zoom)

  2. Very nice. Don't have the money to dabble in astrophotography, I'm afraid :(

  3. It is rather expensive.

  4. I do have a telescope since I'm into astronomy, but proper sensors you can fit onto it without an adapter are several hundred dollars, can't put that kind of money away right now

  5. If the scroll bars were made invisible, this could be a game of "Find the moon". :p The smaller the resolution, the harder the challenge!

  6. Speaking from the point of view of someone that wants to take pictures, but not lug around a giant DSLR (or DLSR?), I've looked into the 'Moment' lens series that I could buy for my phone. Have you (pr anyone reading this) had any experience with the Moment brand of smartphone lenses, or maybe just smart phone lenses in general?

  7. I haven't looked into smartphone lenses for quite a few reasons:
    • My camera is quite small and light and I don't mind lugging it around to try and get the photos :p
    • My current phone (Google Pixel) takes decent photos already for when I don't have my camera on me
    • I don't really have the money to spend
But I definitely see the reasoning behind getting lenses for smartphones I just don't know if they are effective at all as I have done no research into them as they aren't needed for me however, I can still take decent images with my phone. I have tried to use a wide angle lens for an iPhone but that failed as it was cheap and tacky, but I wouldn't mind experimenting with lenses of higher quality but I have seen some of them be quite expensive. :)

  8. I have the Google pixel 2 xl arriving this week sometime (woot!)
Some of the picture comparisons though are simply amazing. Especially when looking at the macro lens (since I too like to take pics of items up close). I guess I'll wait and see how good the pixel 2's camera is and how detailed I can get. I'm starting to dabble in hopes of saving my bro money on pictures by offering to do them myself if it's good enough. Phone cameras these days are amazing, and with light amount of editing in Lightroom, can be spectacular imo. I just need practice. =)

  9. Tell me how the pixel 2 goes, that phone seems decent :p
I love how anyone can pick up a phone and make any images look decent, also I have lightroom I just need to figure out how the hell to use it xD The post on the top of this page (#21) was edited in Lightroom while following a video tutorial and I would like to get into it a bit more.

Sidenote: The camera that I got if more used for filming but can also take stunning images which are a plus :)

  10. I went in and dabbled with a pic I took on my phone back when we were in disney last year (yes, even with a finger in the pic). This was taken with a Samsung galaxy S6 active and edited with lightroom cc app (free version app).

  15. Thank you :)
  16. Wow, very nice photos. I also use the Canon 100d, and I have a Canon 35mm f/2 IS USM lens on it. I also sometimes shoot with a Carl Zeiss Distagon T 35mm f/2 lens or a Tokina AT-X 11-16 Pro Dx Lens.

Do you ever use your phone to take pictures? I currently have an iPhone 8+, I think that the camera quality looks quite nice on it.

EDIT: Just scrolled up and saw the phone photos. Nice.

  17. I do, these pictures were taken on my phone, the first one was edited and the second one was completely natural.

Also while we're here I have opened up my Photography Instagram so feel free to give that a look if you want :) The name is: sachins_photos
