I was planning on letting Minecon Earth go and not giving it attention, assuming the rest of EMC wouldn't either... but if it is like this, I might check it out anyway. We'll see (or I will, at least) how I feel Saturday evening.
Aw, disappointing. Also I looked at the page for it on the Minecraft website and good god that sentence structure is awful.

Correct, you can watch the live stream there and hang out with us at the same time. We will do a few things during the livestream, but nothing that requires a lot of attention, so we don't distract you guys from the stream. That way, everyone will be able to sit back and enjoy watching it while hanging out in-game talking about it.
There has been no information on capes for this year - it is possible they will somehow give them out during the live stream, but at this point who knows....
alright, thank you I'm excited about minecon earth, for the reason that anyone and everyone can attend, and sad that they got rid of minecon, because minecon gave people the chance to meet their favorite Minecraft youtubers
