  1. Eh... I'm not a fan of Audi's everyday cars. But I do like me a Ford Focus RS. =P

Also, I just realized street racing goes on on the street outside my apartment at like 1AM every morning. Just saw a Eclipse drag-racing a Nissan 240SX. I wonder who won...
  2. I prefer older Audi cars, 80's primarily (points to my avatar). The Ford Focus RS is great, the new one they are making looks good too and sound like it comes with a lot of bang for the buck!

I'd take a Nissan 240SX over the Eclipse any day, sorry Eclipse :p

  3. If I drove this, my plate would be '54'. I would relocate the emblem to the left of the license plate.
Wait till you feel that Garrett whine in the evos. 4G63 Power.

    Nice looking car though!

  4. Garrett turbos = good noises ;)

  5. Especially if you vent them to the atmosphere instead of re-routing the air back to the intake ;)
As I have been after HP in my two, I have kept the routing stock, so the ECU adjusts for that air properly.

Best noises, whine of a turbo, and whine of a supercharger. Nothing quite like it.

  6. So your two have venting to the atmosphere? You use turbo and a supercharger? What type of supercharger are you using? Lots of questions... I assume these are in your Mitsubishi/Saturn things that you have a collection of ;) Sounds like it sounds great! :D

  7. I prefer the sound of all three combined with the sound that nitrous makes when you use it.

  8. Nope, my venting is factory, it is piped to be re-circulated directly to the intake.

Supercharger, I have worked on my friends, and driven. Never owned. Saturn Ion Redline (similar to the Chevy cobolt SS) which had so much potential, but fails before the true powerband. Superchargers are nice, but turbos are a bit more up my alley.

My 1G eclipse and 2g talon (both turbo), were the 'grandfather and father' of the Lancer Evolutions. Look up the history of the 4G63T engine. Pretty cool where it has been, and where it is now!

Hehe, would be pretty fun. Hope the tranny/clutch can handle all three at once. If they can, boy I hope there are some nice fat slicks on the two wheel drive vehicles :p.

  9. Do you want to change it so that it is vented to the atmosphere or are you keeping it to the intake? :D

Both supers and turbos are nice, both can sound great! The supercharge whine and the turbo spools... Hard comparison ;)

  10. I will most likely keep it as is. Reason being, is that the car computer counts for that 'air' to get put back into the engine. Air gets put back in the system past the mass air flow sensor. So it takes the air coming past the mass air flow sensor and adjusts (software) for additional air that 'should' be coming in thru the blow off valve.

Ya, turbos are more 'universal' in that it uses the exhaust stream to boost. Superchargers, you have to integrate them into the air path, and also get it inline with your belt system. Most superchargers have lower PSI, but have a good flow range... and no lag. Turbos have lag, which gets compounded by what power band/flows you want to get to. So the higher bands, the more lag. So you have to fine tune it a bit, or do a ton of research into it. Each type has pros and cons. Both are fun as all heck. I wouldn't refuse either system!!!
(and yes, I am talking in general, so there is always some exception to rules of thumb :p)

  11. Superchargers are probably more beneficial for performance but require a lot more work to get them in is what I'm guessing :p Turbos are closer to strap them on and enjoy the extra boost sort thing... Not as easy as that, but compared to superchargers at least! ;)

But as you say, I wouldn't refuse either system! :p

  12. Fitting mud flaps to the ST tomorrow, I'll see if I can get any pics for y'all :)

  13. Is this REAL?!?
  14. Is it real? As a concept car, yes, but did it ever make production? No :p I believe it was built for a car show in France in 2009 as a concept car but nothing ever came of it :) It used a 8L twin turbo W16 engine though, would have been a real beast!

  15. Yeah I mean I guess compared to Bentley it is a cheap car, but at 50k sticker price brand new, it isn't that reasonable.
Also, It is a Saab 93 convertible Viggen.
I used to have an 850r with a five speed swap. It was cherry red, the best color! I am a swede freak, you you see the driveway!

  16. Certainly do, in the Saab yours too or just a family/friend's car? :D Volvo 850R looked decent!
  17. The Viggen is my fathers. I have my Volvo, and I also have a 1985 BMW 325i Convertible project car that I recently purchased.

  18. What do you plan on doing with the BMW? Just to restore and use? I love an old three series! :D

  19. My plan (its an autotragic) is to fix it up and get used to how they work and then dump it and buy one with a stick and put a turbo in it.. haha the more turbos the better!

  20. Sounds good, so there bears the question: will the turbo stick Bimmer be a daily, a weekend, a track or a drift? :D
