To answer an inevitable question, will we support the old names typed in? Unlikely, Typing in the names long-hand is not the encouraged method anymore. Let's say you really want to use an old name. There is a way. Ex: Use #Web on the 4th line; then click.

Nope. No idea. They have not announced when. 1.13 will also include the aquatic update though :)

Story time: Long time ago during a staff promotion (don't ask when, think it predates me as staff?), chickeneer doubled up on the staff page. Not only was he listed as a minty developer, but also as a mod.

So the running gag became that every time someone was promoted to or within the staff, chickeneer was promoted as well. Hence the congrats. It got fixed since then but was around for a while.

Thanks for the back story. I remember the duplication, but wasn't aware that was what led to the joke. I understand now.
