    So i've set myself a task of building myself a neat gaming PC, the one I am using as the moment is... well it's just crappy and I need a new one, I have spent a while searching for new parts and speaking to friends/pc forum members and this is what I have come up with (So far).

  6. Thats a good point actually, I upgraded my choice of graphics card as I had a little more room to spend. I think I'll upgrade my power supply.to a 750w

  9. i have just about 1.9 million TV Shows as well as around 900k movies. I also have a couple hundred thousand songs, not to mention all the programs haha. Oh and lets not forget about the 100 xbox games and 50 pc games haha.

  11. I could spend an extra £20 and get a 2TB hard drive? That might suit me better and I can always purchase more 2TB's if need be

  14. I highly don't recommend getting that AMD CPU. AMD CPUs have a much lower IPC (instructions per clock) then Intel's chips. I highly recommend going Intel.

    When AMD sent out review samples of the 290X, they even sent out Intel CPUs to go with them since they know that their own CPUs will bottleneck it.

  16. But when windows 10 is released, it is said that it will run much smoother and faster with AMD? Also if I was to switch to intel.. would it be better for me to switch my graphics card to a Nvidia GeForce 960 or 970? Thanks for the feedback

  18. That was my first choice but one of my friends told me that AMD would be future proof for windows 10, that it would have better performance than the i5 as it has double the cores at a cheaper price.

  19. I would seriously doubt the credibility of that person. That statement couldn't be any more false. "Double the cores at a lower price" indicates that he was judging the performance of the chip solely on the clock speed and cores, which straight up is a horrible way to do it. The IPC of AMD chips can't touch Intel at the moment and that can be seen quite easily on benchmark charts.
