I would like to have my base on SMP 9 claimed as my outpost. I already have several chests locked there and a great deal built there. Let me know if you need anything else from me.

Are outpost still able to be claimed, or has that been put on hold for now?

You can still claim. Send a senior staff the coords to the locked chest and they will review it.

What is the distance that is protected? Will it grow as my outpost grows?

At this time there is no protection being put in place; the advantages of establishing an outpost can be read here. So summing up it basically allows you to determine the building style and general outlines of your outpost and the way your members should behave.

It also protects your outpost location from being shared with others, since that's prohibited by the server rules.

Although it does give you some leverage in case of disputes with other players it doesn't provide you with any physical protection as of yet. But there are plans being made in that area.

Thanks man, both for the info and also the congratulations. I am looking forward to Dragon Tombs and being able to claim the wilderness area for my outpost.
