We are losing all the great members

Soul came back from being sitebanned, best example yet.
He faced the worst ban possible, but still came back to the community

and he appealed and came back. i still count it.

We will always lose members and it will always be sad. We will however, gain new members and it will be good. Aikar has a LOT going on in his plate right now and the best thing we can do is to help him evolve into the EMC owner you want him to be. Justin and Aikar are two different people, so it's understandable some people are a bit uneasy with this move.

However, Aikar has room to grow and evolve as this is new to him as well. One thing we know is a big difference in the past with the two, is Justin was always more forward with updates as he did them than Aikar has been. However, I've been talking with Aikar through this transition and I'm certain we can not only bring EMC back to the glory it was back in the day, but we can create a better system of having the entire Admin team, including Aikar to be more forward and upfront with things going on before we do them.

Remember, Aikar taking this on isn't something he had to do, and the reason for EMC's standstill over the last year was simply because Justin had to many life issues going on to be able to balance both, not to say he didn't try his hardest. The decision to transfer the ownership was soley for the reason of making sure EMC has the tools and foundation to start progressing forward again. Full steam ahead everyone!

I still miss kirby and nfell , I missed lasluin alot too...

My reasons are my own, and D.Tombs have nothing to do with it. However, as "leaving" threads are not permitted (and my reasons doubly so) I shall keep that business off these boards.

And to all of you - friends, comrades, and acquaintances alike - know that I certainly don't consider myself a "great" player, but appreciate the consideration regardless. As the great Kermit the Frog once said, "Life is made up of meetings and partings, that is the way of it." People will go, and more will come, and the server will move on - for both better and for worse.

ICC, this doesn't happen as often as I'd like, but I agree.

You are a hell of a coder, and while I don't agree with everything you've done for (and to) this server, know that I do respect the work you've put into it.

People need to understand that this is still a game, and that people have a life and business that needs to get done before fun. Some its school, some work, or even families, if you devote the time, good for you! But it's okay to take a break from a game to focus on the bigger things.
Does who do leave, no matter how 'great' the player, they still had friends that will miss them dearly. And if you miss them so much, find another contact!

As i would think if 3 would leave 3 would come, its life, people move on and it just happened to be them, eventually people will move on in life.

I'd like to know this as well... I only joined 3 weeks ago or so. I don't know any of this.

Why doesn't someone write something about these people, what they did, who they were, where they lived. I'd like to know more about the server history.

people move on from everything but i see a stedy stream of new members here so we are gaining great mebers too (fyi im not gone just unable to play)

They join and a moment later leave... We have around 900 (maybe even less) still ACTIVE members

Are you sure we only have 900 active members? There are about 100-200 online average at one time during the day, I wouldn't believe it until Aikar showed me the statistics.
