ΞΟΣ's Community Dirt Vault (Lot #2432, smp1.empire.us)

Location
Located on smp1, at residence #2432.
(Type "/v 2432" or "/v XiOmicronSigma" while on smp1 to go there. To go to smp1, connect to the server "smp1.empire.us")

Go through the teleporter to the RIGHT of the Mushroom Shop. It will take you to the Dirt Vault.

You may start from the chest above the doorway. A sign will point out the chest for you.

Pricing
I abide by the rule "dirt is free," so I shall never make a profit from the Dirt Vault. You can get dirt in quantities of 576 (nine stacks, or a single row of inventory space) and 64 (one stack), and you can give dirt in the same quantities.
Rules
My rules, as seen on the signs in screenshot #2, shall be restated as follows:

1. Take only what you need, when you need it. Do not move my dirt from my residence to your residence so that you can distribute it instead.
2. Don't sell our dirt. If it isn't needed, return it. The dirt was not purchased - it was supplied by you, or your fellow citizens. Do not abuse this.
3. Don't dispose of our dirt. Return it instead. Do not throw the excess dirt onto the ground, and let it de-spawn! You may keep the excess dirt that you cannot return to the Dirt Vault due to the high sell quantity.

If you decide that you want to break one of these rules, you may find yourself unable to walk on my residence. Trust me – dirt is not worth losing access to my residence. Besides, you would have to make at least 80 trips to get the dirt!

The hardest part of this project was moving, storing, and managing the dirt. Do not make this harder for me by taking dirt from random chests, or by taking a little dirt from many chests.

I encourage you to help out the Dirt Vault by giving credit where it is due. This is not a requirement, but is something that you should do.
If you supply dirt for the Dirt Vault, be proud! People use dirt for many reasons, and all who can use it should benefit from it.

Remember that the Dirt Vault functions akin to a bank. You may deposit dirt into the Dirt Vault, and you may take some dirt as if on credit. (However, please be aware that the Dirt Vault is not a Bank.)

If I am not being supplied with dirt, I cannot keep the Dirt Vault open because it would have no dirt. What is the point of going to the Dirt Vault, a place expected to have dirt, and finding none?

Erm, I thought I posted in this thread, because I am watching in this thread...
I really like this vault system, because it just makes my life easier while planning builds.

Not on this thread, and not on the old thread.
Now imagine one of our biospheres, a hollow spheroid made with dirt, just above ground level. That was the prototype, on Camdenmil's residence. Dirt is useful for prototypes.

I can totally imagine it >.> (btw, trying to get all the glass and moss stone for the project, hopefully by end of the month)

Ahh, that is nice. Let me think about making a thread for the biospheres.

I've always used your dirt vault.. But i find myself not remembering what the residence number is..

It is in my signature (2432). Or, you could just execute "/v SWATAHOLIC". I am happy to hear that you benefit from using the Dirt Vault!

I love this place. I use it daily to give and get dirt for whatever.

As of right now, the Dirt Vault is out of stock. We have had a good run. My thanks to everyone who was a part of this project.
I have no plans to close the Dirt Vault down, though.
The Dirt Vault is now in the same boat as the Mushroom Biosphere above.
