Yes - Reset the non Town worlds WITH a weeks notice and special features during that time 399 vote(s) 89.5%
No - I want them all to stay the way they are now, do not reset 47 vote(s) 10.5%
  1. Resetting won't make much of a difference. Apparently the server no longer sends a seed, but that only matters if you want to explore new areas on your downloaded copy.

Edit: I think we're thinking about different things lol
  2. I'm really split on this wild reset. Everything I have ever made ever in Minecraft is in the EMC wild, I run a community of 15. I actually voted yes. But I still don't think that it will fix alot of the problems with the wild. But it will fix some and will allow alot more people to get to new area's and new resources. Well, time to go get my pickaxe and grab my 17000 Metre's of rails...
  3. Pro's:
    New outposts :D
    complete clean-up of griefed buildings.
People can now follow: http://empireminecraft.com/threads/...live-in-the-wild-peeps-out-there-part-1.4873/ and live corectly at wild.
    This would be "solved" http://empireminecraft.com/threads/question-about-griefing.4415
If a griefer has a chest, load up of griefed goods at wilderness: He will loose it.

    Cons:
People who might "Loose" this news will just wake up and see all his work loosed

This poll it's a bit unballanced, im shure if it was me or other member who have made it, positive/negative votes would be more ballanced, just because: Everything Justin wants to do and writes about --> People likes, supports. Maybe without even living at wild and not getting affected by. sorry but it's truth :S

  4. I think it's unbalanced because most people don't live in the wild and reset means more resources 4 steps away from protected area. The other people who actually do live in the wild and have been exploring since the update have probably experienced the bugs (I have) and know that a reset will be the best thing even though we'll have to rebuild.

  5. Good idea. I am totally for this. That way, we might actually be able to find trees without walking 2000 or 3000 blocks out of Spawn! And yes, it is totally destroyed, especially on the older servers like SMP1 and 2. I used to play on SMP1 before I moved everything to SMP6, and the wild was just blown to bits.
  6. Yeah and that ^^also :p
  7. Actually, if you guys keep the idea of "yeah imma be lazy and i love to walk only 4 blocks to find what i want" justin will have to run the area reset each week or so.
I believe it's awesome having to walk in order to find your stuff.
Maybe Justin should make the first 32-block radius around protected area out of bedrock.
  8. It will just move the destruction out to where the bedrock finishes. It's the path of least resistance.
  9. Not to sound like a math geek or anything, but the entire nether is actually the same size as the entire wild. Granted, 1 block in the nether covers 8 blocks in the wild (and I'm certain this is what you mean when you say the nether is smaller than the actual world--also I'm sure by "actual world" you mean the one in the game and not the one in which we actually live); but since they are both technically infinite there is no such thing as a smaller infinite. To put it another way, ∞/8=∞.

  10. Well, at least it will teach lazy peeps to stop being lazy :p
  11. My achivement is
    Achivement get!
Donate to the server! ~picture of diamond~
  12. Great idea!
  13. what about the utopia monster grinders?
  14. Maybe some roads made of bedrock, 4 wide and 4000 long, would help a bit? People might be willing to walk a minute or so if it's a straight line with no holes to fall in or steps to jump up... Using bedrock means that this wouldn't even require custom-coding. And Justin, no need to clean up the space above the road if it goes through a hill. The players will take care of that automatically :)

  15. That's a good idea. Hopefully enabling the periodic rest area will solve the problem, but if it doesn't this sounds like a good way to go.
  16. I will admit I have some influence, but like I said I will add any legitimate pros or cons to the list, and I have already added a few people have suggested. I am just laying out all the facts :)

  17. Add the con that for a few days or weeks, as all the new area's are re-explored that there will be extreme world genning lag
  18. It's just like voting in real elections, it's just a show to make us think we have some say. The victors are already predetermined. :p
  19. Added
  20. 385 players out of 20000 is 1.925%, so basically 2% of total players have voted in the poll.
