Yea, I'm starting to think that proving my point is useless... >_< Why couldn't you trust at least a few people? I mean, it could be better that way. It would be like the Wiki Team, similar to the Bug Team. ;3 then again, I don't really have a choice whatever you chose... ;/
Where did we say we aren't doing it like that? We have a non-moderator already helping with it and may add some more.
Let me guess: Alex. I just feel like, maybe the not so popular people should have a chance at being helpful to the community... ;3 And, I didn't know you already had Him on the team >.<
We do have People for that "Emc Staff" which made this wiki possible in the first place. Adding whole new team to it would be unnecessary and troublesome.
The people we have or will choose to have helping will be chosen on the best standards for the community. Who they are doesn't matter, as suggestions to the wiki can be made to the form on the wiki and will be handled by one of the many staff who have access.
Don't know if you saw the edited version or not, guess we are kind of saying the same thing, just in different ways. >_<
Popular people do not get picked, people who have contributed greatly without resources such as this get picked. If you were to create multiple guides that showed great intuition in design, content, and formatting, sure you probably have a chance. You cant just simply say 'why cant you trust us!?' The truth is, we already have a group of people on it, the staff team, and yes, at the moment Alex. Its not out of the realm of possibility that anyone here has the chance of being a part of that team, but it needs to be shown that they will be a valuable addition. The people you would refer to as 'popular' got to be that way by being helpful first. Jack and Alex have ALWAYS been extreme overhaul in the guide making area, its not something that happened because they had attention. If you were to make something that we think should be in the wiki, guess what, we will not take credit for it. At most, there will be a page linked to your thread as the source. Dont view it as 'I cant be helpful if I don't have access', view it as 'this thing is really helpful! Now let me continue to be helpful in other ways!'.
I suggest reading the guides that have been made by jack/alex the players that submitted them do get credit as i have made a few myself.
I also love the new guide, finally get to find out about all these crazy additions that have happened while I was away
You could write a guide about all the horses that have special names, they don't seem to be in the wiki yet. Valens I think is one.
I am confused by a lot of what you said, because it honestly fails to make sense. Why would someone need to make a guide if it is there? We would like for our players to be able to have a reference and not have to worry about creating one. And I can guarantee you there are hundreds of topics that we did not touch on than any player here today could make a guide that any one could use. If the staff will triple check and we dont miss anything, whats wrong with that? Because someone does not get to make a guide? That seems silly, because making a guide is not about popularity, its about helping, I think you miss that somewhere. Guides are not created for a person to be like 'OMG I just created the best guide eva and ever1 will b mah friend OMG!' its to help easily answer questions that constantly get asked. There will always be questions that need answered, and there will always be guides that need to be made. If guides are a pathway to popularity in your eyes, you make them for the reason.
Yea, but there is noting really to talk about them other than just "Three horses by the names of Valens, Saltar, and Incitius, are special EMC Horses from the 2nd anniversary of EMC. They all specialize in the different functionalities of horses, meaning Saltar is very healthy, Incitius is very fast, and Valens can jump very high. They cannot be obtained anymore, other than trading or auctions. They have a random appearance on spawn, and the original un spawned eggs have lore underneath them each relating to what the horse specializes in. If they have been spawned in, they lose the lore for the stats of the horse instead." ... Sassy smooch will be sassy...
