Noooooo there goes good drops from build up of enraged mobs, I was have to much fun killing that many at one time after sitting at ma witch/spider/skelly farm for a while
Yeah, I agree, I quite like the spawns as they are, I don't want them lowered, I have only just began to get some good stuff.
NOOOOOOOOOO! I want more of them to spawn.... I thought it was an amazing update, now due to people complaining about it its become really bad... People who have complained about this update! If you keep complaining and wanting the mobs to be easier learn to fight them, STOP staying at your poor level of experience and learn to fight and avoid and kill the mobs. I SPEND almost all of my time in the WILD and I felt like a god before this update cause they did not do any damage, now these Enraged mobs are a good fight. If you want to keep learning and striving to become better then stop complaining about the Enraged Mobs being OP, LEARN and become better. YOU have to adapt to the GAME, not the GAME adapts to YOU!
Last night I hooked up with 2 guys on smp9. They were out looking for diamonds and mob drops. Neither had any armor, but both had diamond swords. I offered to give some protection in a full suit of iron and diamond sword. Well, I quickly realized how much things have changed with this update. I am used to wandering for days by myself in the wild and mining as long as I want without problems even with the occasional creeper sneaking up behind me. After about ten minutes, all three of us were killed by mob attacks. We were close to spawn and quickly set up a bed and ender chest. We worked the mines and got some better armor for all of us, but nothing was enchanted until we got a couple of good bow drops. Even with diamond armor, you could hardly be ready when an enraged mob (or sometimes 3) attack. I can't recall the last time I was respawning and running for my stuff and then die before I get there and then run back again. I can't even recall the last time I died in the wild before this update. ( it's been months at least ) I had stopped even resetting my spawn points. I am not complaining, I enjoyed myself and I have plenty of stuff at my res and ways to get any stuff I want, even with this update. The rare drops are great and really do offer some reward for the extra effort. What I AM saying is that this update makes the wild experience VERY different. It is no wonder emotions are running so high. I can adapt, I am also lucky that it didn't negatively effect any of my operations in the wild. I think that new players will find it near impossible to get a foothold by going to the wild and collecting alone. As a community we must better prepare new people for the challenge or they will get discouraged too quickly. Building better roads and 'protected' areas, like wild towns and shelters and community mines is going to make or break the growth of our community now. I'm asking the other experienced players to step up to the plate and really go out of your way to work with new people and show them the ropes. I will be giving out power 2 bows and arrows and potions and iron armor to people I meet and going mining without bringing anything of value back, just to teach when I can. I think this can be really fun! I was getting tired of AFK grinding anyways. Last thought, Make the rare mobs more common the farther you are from spawn, making outposts and beyond more dangerous.
I guess I have to really roll my eyes... cause from what I can see most if not all of EMC players are not experienced... PEOPLE!... Enraged Creepers and Enraged Zombies should not be a problem! Their weakness is Knockback! You use a diamond sword and Knockback II and you will not have a problem... In my opinion Skeletons are the easiest cause IDK if it is just me but they seem to be less accurate than normal Skeles... If YOU are not prepared and not experienced then YOU will die... Do not go out in the wild and think otherwise. For those who complain that is the case.
Think of the new players. How many of them are going to be able to fight those kinds of mobs off with the gear they start with and are able to buy? Just something to think about.
Well the other option is to go out in the daytime and stay inside at night... As I said and I have not said otherwise... They will die if they are not prepared and do not have experience. As Aikar said PEOPLE can make 1,200 PER day. You can get diamond armor very easily. I cannot make that cause I am too lazy to keep voting every day.
Guess what, I have been at my wild base, which trust me, has many dark spots, and alot of Enraged Mobs spawn, and I can fend myself very easily with Iron Armor. And... I have not died any times at all.
they can play like some one starting a new game on single player stay inside at night and do there thing in the day. torching there mining cave's ect. and don't say well torches are hard to make coal is so abundant when mining you can make more than enough to light you things twice.
Enraged mobs are still around in the daytime. Zombies can break down wooden doors. My problem with this update is that iron armor is completely worthless against enraged mobs. I don't really like spending my rupees, so I always go mining for diamonds myself, but I can't seem to find enough to have a constant supply for diamond armor. This, I wear iron armor. But with this new update, enraged zombies tear apart iron armor very quickly. This is normal mode. They shouldn't be that hard. I've never died this many times as I have recently on EMC when playing in single player on hard mode. Don't get me wrong, I love this new challenge, but aren't the enraged mobs a bit too hard?
So true I was running around in iron armor enchanted only with protection 1 on my alt acc. Just up graded to diamond so I can be lazier when killing.
I agree with all of these people. The enraged spawn rates should not be tweaked. The only time you get "swarmed" by them in when you are in a mineshaft. Easiest way to avoid them, stay out of mineshafts. Anyway you could leave enraged mob spawn rates as they are, Aikar?
iron armor is not worthless unless you fall into a hole filled with them you can do just fine against 2-3 of em in unenchanted diamond armor with a power 4 bow and a knockback diamond sword. i think im going to make a youtube video of how to survive the new mobs. should i use fraps?
Well I have been at my gold farm for a while and no hounds have spawned in the farm. but they have been spawning out side of it in areas I have yet to half slab and are slowing the spawn rate of pig men, that is easy to fix. So if you have hounds in your gold farm make sure every thing is half slabed. I'm at a loss as to how matthew is getting so many hounds in his farm.
