Hey keph, I know I haven't replied to anything you have posted in here, but I have been reading it. I just thought I would use your last statement as an opportunity to say something. I was a forums baby for the longest time on the internet, and have personally felt that sting of no voice.however, while I may not always show it here,I read every comment I can, and actually read it. Yours and everyone else's comment are read, and not in the sense of "oh look another compliment" or "we got a complainer over here". A lot of the staff were on mumble together last night for this update, and we were not only reading the thread as comments were made, we were figuring out what they meant to us. If it was a compliment, we discussed what they we did right, did they notice what we wanted them to? If there were complaints, whether we agreed or disagreed with them, we discussed as a team, what view and thoughts would to the complaints, what could we do fix them, what can we show this person to help them see we wanted EVERYONE to enjoy this update. Your points are being talked about more than we may show.I tell players this all the time. If you say something, more than likely, we are going to discuss it. We may not always acknowledge that we do, but most of the time that is because the discussions are on going. this particular case, because it is something on a new plane entirely we are trying, we want people to give it more than a day. We want people to see if it just becomes a part of playing the game. However, if these imbalances that everyone claims are still as resilient a week from now, we will revisit with the idea of a change in mind. It's hard to make tweaks and adjustments this early in the process, without seeing if it will get better first. my main reason for posting being, there could be a million voices here on EMC, but every voice will remain unique and heard.
Seeing as I have beat 4 marlixes and fought a giant today (died on that ) I can pretty much say, it is VERY easy to find the bosses. Even a Giant Zombie spawned right next to a town unprepared, yet, I was offered a chance to help, but I couldn't due to dinner. To be put it this way, luck plays a key roll in this update.
I haz a funky question: How'd you guys get the names? Marlix and Momentus (First is female, second is male)
Teach me how to find a boss I have yet to find one, found a bunch of mob heads bunch of enchanted bows, zombie virus ect, just cant find a boss. It seems impossibru to find a boss to me
I love this update... Any word on what the recent tweak did? I think I noticed less Enraged mobs in the Frontier, not sure about Wasteland though.
I have not found any "enraged" nor so called bosses.... very disappointing and I have searched for hours Only gotten ONE creeper head, thats all
lol that's what I have been doing. last run I dint even get an enraged mob. I have walked out 1~2k blocks a few times now hitting up caves when the sun comes up. I think I give up
The tweak was created due to some members fighting over a Marlix rare drop. So Aikar made it so that whoever deals the most damage to a Marlix, gets the drops automatically.
I went out in a group with friends in the wastelands and we just derped and explored while killing stuff.
