Yes I saw your post Just exploring my various options. I have a good idea what I will end up picking out. Just need to wait for paychecks to come through.
Its not only with Computers! I've had the same issue friday with a TV and my mother with a vacuum cleaner!
Lets say we ( people with the suggenstions ) can't wait for a poll of our suggestions, that you're still stuck with
I'm not sure if I would go with that one, even if it was for a low price. The Intel GMA card isn't the best for gaming, as I've used a computer pretty similar to that one which gets only about 20-30 FPS on Minecraft, at the most. The processor also isn't the best; only a 2GHz dual-core, plus only 3GB of RAM, which is half of what Chickeneer was looking for.
Nothing to intense. I stick to mostly Minecraft; but have been a bit limited on what else I can play on my current computer.
I just had a look around and this looks pretty solid. http://www.acerdirect.co.uk/Acer_As...re_i5_Laptop_-_Black_NX.M3NEK.003/version.asp
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152388 I noted you said your budget was about $800 - $1000, it comes with a 650m which is a very powerful mobile GPU (On spec with my one, (That annoys me greatly!) Great thing is - WINDOWS 7! YAY! No horrible interface
At full screen, i get 30+ FPS It's also a great laptop for doing multiple things at the same time, like 6 tabs on chrome, some word a mp3 file playing, still no/almost no lag doing that. (btw i have other screen connected, 21 inch, that makes it even more heavy. https://www.imgur.com/GGda7uO.jpeg (my setup)
None of those things are particularly CPU intensive, I have an old computer with only 2 GB's of RAM that can do all those things. But that doesn't make it a great computer, especially not for gaming. I would still try to shoot for 8 or more GB's or RAM and the i5 or i7 processors.
If you really want to buy something powerful with your full budget, I have drooled over this system before... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...0713-Latest-_-LaptopsNotebooks-_-34312439-L0F If not, a good $700 + tax one is http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.aspx?sku=999151 You have a Microcenter in Kansas, so... http://viewer.zmags.com/publication/6a81b268#/6a81b268/3 The convenience might be worth the tax to you. There is just something about seeing what you buy in person before you get it. If I may suggest it, go to Microcenter and find yourself a laptop that you like/fits your needs most efficiently, then buy it online
