Why are there always these negative people. Yes you may not like it but there are some people who do. Why do people always have to come out and just say a nicer version of the bear meme?

Wouldn't being able to fly anywhere would be a great thing instead of taking forever in wild please comment if you like the idea
People joined EMC because of the no fly ability, no hack rule, etc. The moment they start going back on that they're gone. That's just taking the easy way out. I'm surprised they're not getting more flack for giving Diamond Supporters fly on Utopia. +1 Everyone will eventually get something by 2015 I'm sure.

I get where you're coming from, I do. But I do want to add that advertising is NOT, in my opinion, whats makes a game, server, etc. great, although yes, it brings in more money/sales/people. I can think of countless examples where the CONTENT spoke much louder then adverts. Minecraft itself had very little in the way of advertising when it first came out, it was an indy game, but it caught like wildfire because of word of mouth... people were playing it and would tell others how awesome it was and sales went up and up and up until it became what it is today. That wasn't due to Mojang spending large amounts of time and effort in an advertising campaign, but instead putting that time and money into developing a totally unique and enjoyable gaming experience and the merit of their product propelled it to success. Jeremy, I have the utmost respect for you, Justin, Aikar, and all the wonderful EMC staff, so please dont take this as me slingy mud. Furthermore, to anyone else that has read my posts and consider it being "negative", I would point out that voiceing your opinion about a decision that affects us all as a community isn't the same as "just being negative" for the sake of being negative. In fact, I would imagine that the staff would like to hear the communities feedback on certain things like changes, new features, etc. Otherwise how would they have ant way of knowing how their decisions are effecting the community if we censor ourselves to always saying "YES YES great job I love it!" and then complaining under our breath. Wasn't their a proposed idea a few months ago about a new system for shops that the community voiced their opinions about in an organized manner and the idea eventually was scrapped or altered? My opinion on this thread is in no way an insult to the hard work the staff has done to make this site the wonderfull place it is, it is simply "my opinion", something we are all entitled to have and should never be afraid to voice.
I don't think so. Making it possible to for server providers to track who voted is perverted and makes those server lists ridiculous. About nine months ago I've asked friends and relatives about servers, that's how I've found EMC. +10 (Even the staff? Senior staff?) Jeremy, you're the leader of this community, our hope lies in you. (Respect for Justin, but you know - away from eyes, away from heart...) Don't let anyone confuse you about the fundaments and basic needs of this community. About members (human!) needs and sound and wise politics. It is, and it is wise to choose appropriate, high quality advertising for high quality servers: Word of mouth from happy members. Referral bonus? Shouldn't really be necessary, and if it is too high it puts a shade on referring - "did you get "paid" to advertise?" There was also a considerable jump after every update. There was/is a number of diverse statements from the staff there about rather radical changes. EMC (Excellent Minecraft Community ) shall develop and change, but hopefully in a sound, wise direction. (I've asked about the general direction before, I'd like to encourage the community to ask on a regular basis.) Perhaps you could write few lines about the fundaments of EMC community and general direction, maybe something like a small statute, a constitution. Think long term, think quality.
