We don't get natural disasters in Oregon. Just a lot of weird people.. And fires. Many fires. Though my electricity keeps going out, it's not really anything compared to what you guys must be experiencing.
um isn't that too a natural disaster? not to sound light on it or anything, thats still a bad thing just saying :/
The Derelict Policy is currently turned off for the 1.4 update. If you are worried that you will be experiencing issues after that. Then you should contact a Senior Staff member. Hold tight, I feel safe in my beautiful weather here in Kansas.
See the little blue needle thing. That is where I am. Safe from this crazy storm. Just a ton of strong wind gusts and lower than typical temperatures for the time of year. The wind gusts hit up to 30mph today but not in quick enough bursts to cause any real damage to the trees, yet. My car is covered in brown pine needles though... Grumble. Also, for those who are interested: http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/national/weather-radar That will show you this "big old storm" that isn't actually 1000 miles long from Florida to New York. Thanks main stream fear mongering media...
My wind speed is currently hitting 45mph... Supposed to peak at maybe 65 later tonight, to early this morning. Ought to be pretty fun jumping outside and flying...
Hey, see that farthest north dot? I'm about an hour and a half north. Getting very very very very cold here in Tennessee. But no snow, just thunderstorms.
I like my experiences... The winds were once hitting 60MPH when I was little, and I jumped off a bench and I went flying because of the wind at school, I almost cracked my head open. Oh, and about 10 trees fell down, near my school.
Lol, that's exactly how I feel. England has no natural disasters unless it's flooding. The floods come from canals...and rivers, lakes and streams because Britain has alot of rain. Also, we do get tornadoes, but they aren't very strong. We have the most of them, with the USA just above us, but they aren't noticeable until somebody dies. Last year, when irene hit scotland, we had really strong winds. Somebody fell over and cracked their head open, my bus nearly toppled over. It got lighter on one side, and heavier on the other, and about 10 people fell over, and the bus came off its wheels on the other side, and then hammered back down again.
I beg to differ - the great storm 25 years ago - An estimated 15 million trees across the southern counties brought down. In woodland near where I live there were mature beech trees of about 6+ft diameter snapped off 20 -30 ft up like twigs! Still visible now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Storm_of_1987
This is what we got on our special weather warnings: SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT in effect until Tuesday, Oct 30, 7:00pm. ...FIRE DANGER STATEMENT... STRONG WEST WINDS OF 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH WILL COMBINE WITH LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AROUND 25 TO 30 PERCENT THIS AFTERNOON AS WELL AS LOW FUEL MOISTURE LEVELS AS PER SOUTH CAROLINA FORESTRY OFFICIALS TO CREATE AN ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS SOUTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST GEORGIA. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... PLEASE REFER TO YOUR LOCAL BURN PERMITTING AUTHORITIES ON WHETHER YOU CAN BURN TODAY. IF YOU DO BURN...YOU ARE ADVISED TO USE EXTREME CAUTION. Apparently without rain for several days, and that rather hot day we had Sunday, the ground dried out and now these winds are causing issue for burning things. Makes sense, the needles are brown and densely covering the ground....
