I specifically want the over water portion because I've seen "suspected" griefers going this way. I appreciate that I'll have to try not to ruin the sea. Some of the ginormous structures people have already built over the water indicate this ship has largely sailed.
Why? Is this because of that stupid stuff on youtube where things in videos are against laws in some other countries? It's Our House by Madness. Was released in the 80's.
I said I would leave room for boats. I figure on (at minimum) a large main gate, and two smaller gates for people coming up along the coasts. EDIT: To make it clear, I hearby grant anyone reading this LLO or otherwise the irrevocable authority to punch a hole in the wall if you find it blocks your way. I would ask you to limit the size of the hole, and to "replace your divots" before you leave, but the latter is optional. After it is done, I will probably go into maintenance and improvement mode. If you frequently travel through a portion of the wall, I'm happy to make a permanent gate at that location.
I suggest building it like this. I tried it, and you seem to be able to get under it every time without breaking a boat. Although, there was one time when it broke, but i tried to replicate it and it didnt work... If you like it, i would test it more. But, i still think restricting access is griefing, so i am not encouraging building this wall, i am just trying to give boaters their rights! Haha
If your house is in the middle of the street, you should put a gate in it. Otherwise, it might be considered griefing. I like your guitarish thing. I'm thinking more of the, "I'm going to build a giant platform and then disappear for all time, or otherwise neglect to do anything constructive with it."
Yeah we seem to have several of those. One off the White Line, no idea what it's for, then one huge one out to the west that was going to be Roblikescake's station. He left everything there and it got griefed, he started accusing us all of griefing it when we were all posting about being griefed. I thought there was going to be something else built on it.
From the live map, it does kinda look like a guitar.. You just have to see it up close. It will be obvious once the outbuildings are finished though.
Hey MBA sorry to freak you with the no strip mining sign - it wasnt directed at you. I just thought your building site seemed to be losing a lot of sand lately and I thought people might be mistaking it for an open quarry. Feel free to remove the sign if it bothers you.
Whew. Marching band. Anyways, I think the bridge should be overhead, nowhere near the water. That would be pretty cool. Sort of like the bridge to the west, but higher, so boats can have an easy time. I don't really like the wall idea. The bridge would be another nice addition.
