so, while on Empire Minecraft, I was bored, so I did /p icecreamcow. and it said last seen: x hours ago on stage.empire.us. I would like someone to tell me what this is. also, feel free to turn this thread into a big discussion about the server.
its a staff server, where they do testing for the plug-ins before applying them to the other servers.
Stage... Sounds like some kind of event/staff server that's not actually listed on the forum list. But that's just my guess.
It is a server where Justin/ Aikar/ ICC/ any other mod can test out new coding without publicly testing us so we get all the bugs. It is also probably where ICC is working on the new Dragon Tomb update with Aikar. As they need somewhere to construct all the stuff
I wonder what its like there.... do they have a town for just staff? is there a wild? i wonder how many slots it has... i wonder if it would be possible to access it ever. i wonder if a mod can do that for me. but doing that would be difficult. i guess i would have to kidnap a mod. hold them hostage. i wonder how legit that place is since right out of spawn you can see a giant rectangle made of sponge filled with water... ICC has another, less known obsession of defying the laws of realism apparently.
Although it's already been explained I want to post Stage is the server of which on;y staff have access too. It is used for testing and is hidden on the EMC site. You can however look at it's live map by clicking here, and look at it's server listing page by clicking here.
yes as said above, and to answer the "legit" question, yes we play around on it... The sponge sphere was likely ICC learning world edit >_> Also, it was copied from SMP9 recently, but vault has been disabled so not even mods can transfer items off it.
